Blog Candy Celebration!

I promised a blog candy celebration and here it is! I have so much to be thankful for right now. Let me share:

- My first-ever published project is in the April issue of CARDS, which is now available!

- I passed 50,000 hits!

- I have joined the design team for another new stamp company called Our Daily Bread Designs, which just opened its virtual doors on Monday! Our Daily Bread Designs features stamps with Christian images and Scripture. I love the first release and am so excited to be a part of this company!

To celebrate these successes, I'm putting together some blog candy. It will include the new Light of the World stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs, a copy of the April issue of CARDS, a Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder (my current favorite), and a package of those Dew Drop-style clear baubles from Michael's (I'm getting some comments that not all Michael's have them). [Update: I forgot to include yesterday that the stamp set is compliments of Kelley Holland, owner of Our Daily Bread Designs. Wasn't that generous of her?! ]

All you have to do to enter (US & Canada only, please) is leave a comment on this post telling me what you like or don't like about Pickled Paper Designs and if there's something in particular you'd like to see on here in the future (challenges? sketches? detailed instructions? more SU? less SU? scrapbooking? more chit chat? less? or anything else you can think of ... you get the picture!)

I will draw a random winner on Monday morning, March 24 (not April 24--thanks Wendy, for catching that mistake!). Blog candy closes at 9 am. I'll post a winner sometime after that!

Thanks SO much for visiting! I have truly enjoyed being a part of this fantastic online stamping community these last five months!

Congratulations, that is wonderful I have seen these stamps and they are fantastic, can't wait to see your creations with them. I love your blog, your cards are so creative and lovely.

First of all, congrats for everything!! You are a fabulous artist and I'm so glad to be able to see your artwork. It's always so well done. I cannot think of a thing you can do any different!! I personlly love lots of SU work simply because that's what I have the most of (and don't really need lots else, although "need" is a relative term, isn't it?).

Lyndsay said...

Yay! This is a happy time for you--congrats! I can't complain about your blog. I enjoy reading it regularly and always watch for your new fun posts. With that said, I'd love to see more examples of masculine cards, more tutorials/instructions, more cards made with materials other than SU! (although I love those too, don't get me wrong!) and of course, more posts from you in general!

Congratulations! It's hard to imagine that your blog is only 5 months old...your work is outstanding, and I love visiting every day. Your layouts are original and so well done. It's a real treat, and I like that you focus on cards and just small amount of "chat." I did, however, enjoy hearing a little about you...like you are an accomplished pianist and are a disciplined person. Interesting...and it shows! Thanks for sharing your creativity and love of stamping!

I love everything about your blog- it is clean looking and organized and very eye-appealing (you don't seem to have the font problems that I do on mine... spacing, and font size- UGH!)! SU is my first love, so I tend to gravitate towards those cards, but you do amazing work with anything you get your hands on!

Awesome blog candy, by the way!! WOW!

Congrats on everything. You're a very good designer. I've been looking at your creation through my Google reader for a while and it was so exciting when Heather invited me to be her May guest at H&M and saw from her blog that you're one of her permanent CT. FUN!!!! Can't wait to see what you have in store with all these new stamps!

Congrats on your new design team and your upcoming milestone! I personally love your blog because I really like your style and try to emulate it. One thing that bothers me about other blogs is the amount of Design Team hoopla. I think if you make a beautiful card or gift and share that with your readers through your blog that they will be more interested in purchasing the items then if you spend excessive amounts of time praising and highlighting a product. For example, I like the way you talk about SU and highlight their products, but don't cram it down our throats. Good luck with your new ventures!
