Hi there, just stopping in today to share a set of cards featuring an adorable stamp set by Jillibean Soup: YOU MAKE MISO HAPPY. This set is part of the bigger You Make Miso Happy collection.
For all three of today's cards, I've used masking to achieve different results. Masking is a great way to add visual depth without adding bulky layers to your card. For this first card, I've used masking to create this row of overlapping succulents. Here’s a quick video I did last week for Jillibean Soup's YouTube channel. For this first card, I started by stamping the images I wanted to appear in the front, then masked those off before stamping the background plants. Also, by stamping the images in lots of different shades of green, it looks like I’ve used a lot more than just three unique plant images.
For all three cards, I used Distress Oxide inks. The pigment quality of these inks gave me great ink coverage, solid impressions, plus a whole assortment of greens. I've only used my Distress Oxide inks for backgrounds before, so it was fun to use them for stamping.
To add interest and get more mileage from this set, I stamped a row of the XOXO sentiment in light gray ink, trimmed it down, and placed it behind the succulent border, leaving just the bottoms of the letters showing. Instead of being a readable sentiment, it becomes a background pattern. The sentiment is a diecut from the YOU MAKE MISO HAPPY PEAPOD PARTS, and the butterfly and heart images are from the same YOU MAKE MISO HAPPY stamp set.
I’ve used masking on these next two cards as well. For this card, I stamped a trio of pots and plants in the same color scheme as above.
Next, I cut three pots out of masking paper and placed them over the stamped pots. I added a horizontal strip of masking tape and then did some ink-blending to create a horizon line.
Last, I chose a sticker from the YOU MAKE MISO HAPPY COORDINATING STICKERS to add a pop of bright yellow.
My last card features the same images and colors, but this time as a background. A rare (for me) one-layer card, too!
I mixed and matched pots, plants and colors for lots of variety. Once all the plants were stamped, I masked off the pots and added ink-blending to ground each plant.
My final steps were to add the crisp black stamped sentiment and some gray ink splatter.

I hope the ampersand design trend sticks around for a good long time. There's something so fun and playful about building card sentiments around them! Here I've combined different elements from Jillibean Soup's Chit Chat Chowder collection to make a hip & cute little card {wink}.
At the top left, wood veneers, die-cuts, and mini alpha stickers ...
... and at the bottom die-cuts and another wood veneer. Voilà -- custom sentiment!
Another sweet, cheery card featuring Jillibean Soup products. I love that paperclip pattern!
I started with an adorable 2x2 design from the Chit Chat Chowder Bite-Size Bits and layered and embellished from there using a mix of elements from both the Chit Chat Chowder and Souper Celebration collections.
I notched the 3x4 card, banner-style, and layered it over some other Chit Chat Chowder patterns and accented with the tab sticker, adhesives sequins, a wood veneer and twine. Easy and quick!

I'll be popping in today and the next few days to share some cards that appeared last month on the Jillibean Soup blog. I love the fresh simplicity of this one especially.
The Shape Shakers line makes shaker cards so easy. The card base already has the cloud window cut out. The cloud shaker dome slips right in there perfectly. Fill the shaker, peel the backer and stick! I added that cute die-cut sun, trimming it along the cloud outline so that part of it could be on the card front and the other part could be inside/behind the shaker.
Along the bottom, some die-cuts, wood veneers, a pair of stickers, and that adorable clip!

I'm a wee bit addicted to these little square stickers from Jillibean Soup. They are actually part of the Day2Day planner line, so they fit perfectly in the day squares of the monthly calendar. Talk about adding some fun color, pattern, and motivation to your planner! But, gah, look how adorable they are on cards, too!
I accented each one with some embellishments, from both the Day2Day line and from the Bowl of Dreams collection: the tab sticker, puffy hearts and flowers ...
... wood veneer cameras and puffy feather stickers.
I love the girly combination of patterns and colors, too, which came together by putting together papers from the Bowl of Dreams and Chit Chat Chowder collections.
This is one of the simplest cards I've ever made, and I love it! I wish you could have seen all the patterns and layers I messed around with before taking them all off and going with this simple white background. It felt like a breath of fresh air! Sometimes less really is more!
The dreamcatcher is from the Bite Size Bits pattern in Jillibean Soup's Bowl of Dreams collection. There is also a similar dreamcatcher die-cut in the Bowl of Dreams Pea Pod Parts. I don't have those yet, so I just made my own with a little fussy cutting! I added a sentiment sticker, puffy flower sticker, and some thin natural cord, layered that element over a stitched rectangle die-cut and called it done.

I had some cards on the Jillibean Soup blog earlier this week and last week and wanted to share them here too!
This first card features paper and embellishments mostly from the Hardy Hodgepodge collection, which is one of my all-time favorite collections. I just adore the colors!
I also love the foiled vellum tags. The other words in the tag set are "love," "hello," "enjoy," "happy," and "thanks." They are gorgeous!
The vellum tag allowed me to place the floral cluster die-cut behind the tag without completely covering it up (too pretty for that!).

I know most graduations are past now, but I'll share these next two cards anyway. The yellow piece with the arrows is one of the Bite Size Bits (3x4 designs) from the Bowl of Dreams collection.
I added the graduation cap die-cut (from Taylored Expressions) and then a bunch of phrase stickers that are actually from Jillibean Soup's Day2Day planner product line. The stickers are clear, so I first adhered them to white card stock so they'd stand out better.
Last touch was to add some various wood veneers. Also, lots of stitched rectangle die-cuts for layers--must have dies for cardmakers, IMO!

This next card began with the orange diagonal striped Hardy Hodgepodge Bite Size Bits. The design includes the white rectangle with the gray outline at the bottom, but says "the details documented." I adhered letters that I cut out of another pattern (Bit of Letters) to spell out "grad."
Another graduation cap die-cut and more wood veneers. (And more stitched rectangles!)
And finished the top with a Hardy Hodgepodge Pea Pod Parts arrow, some stickers and twine.
