Celebrating 10,000 Hits

Woo-hoo! I've been keeping an eye on my counter recently, waiting to pass that 10,000 mark. Today is the day! THANKS to all of you for visiting, and especially for leaving such kind and thoughtful comments. You have been such an encouragement to me :)

How about some blog candy to celebrate?

* one new, unmounted Holiday Blocks stamp set (this was a Stampin' Up! mini-catalog hostess appreciation set a while back)
* one package of red adornaments fun fibers by EK Success
* shimmer shapes glittered chipboard (3 trees, 2 ornaments) by ScrapWorks
* two velvety, fabric poinsettia flowers (source unknown)

To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post (click on the tiny word "comments" down below) and tell me your favorite way to get in the holiday spirit. Is it putting up the tree? Christmas music? Baking cookies? Parties? For me, I think it's setting up my Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" snow village.

You have until Saturday morning (12/15) to enter. I'll do a random drawing at roughly 9 am EST. Feel free to crawl out of the woodwork, even if you've never commented before! Can't wait to hear from you :)

well, I really dont get into a holiday mood. By the time the first of november rolls around and the lack of sunshine sets in, I am in the throws of SAD until about March when the weather starts to break. I need sunshine and still cant figure out why I am here in Michigan with no sunshine. someone rescue me please!!

OMG!!! I LOVE that stamp set and the rest of the goodies too!! I get into the Christmas spirit by listening to Transiberian Orchestra. We used to go see them in concert every Christmas, but haven't gone since Payton was born. Another thing I like to do is stamp with Christmas stamps. It makes me happy that Christmas is here!
Thanks!

Congrats on 10,000 hits. This is a sweet celebration candy you are sharing with your readers. I love to put on Christmas Music and start with my Christmas Cards and of course decorate the house. We love to go out and search for light displays around town.
Thanks for a chance.

The best thing is taking time to do a RAK (random act of kindness) in the middle of a crazy season when its least expected. The smile that is produced on the recipients face is the best thing about this time of year. it makes you all warm and fuzzy inside.

First of all I must tell you how MUCH I enjoy your blog and love your stamping. Even if I don't comment on every post or card, I always read them. I would say that playing Christmas music is what inspires my Christmas spirit. My husband and I normally go to another state to spend Christmas with my family so I don't decorate our home very much. Cranky up the Christmas music and dancing and singing with my girls around the house is what puts me in the holiday spirit.

it's fun and you create so many beautiful cards...you truly get me inspired!!!
I get in the holiday spirit because of my girls...their eyes light up when we put up the decoration and just little things like they asking me if we'll make our favorite cookies etc...my youngest can't wait for Santa...and we're enjoying all the fun Holiday Movies like the "Grinch" and "Polar Express" so yes I can't wait for Santa to come....and most of all remembering that our Savior was born!!!

Congrats on l of your hits! I visit daily to see your wonderful creations!

It has been hard to get in the spirit this year as it has been 70 degrees here in Chattanooga, TN. But with the help of your Elf Family, my Harry Connick Jr. Christmas CD and trimming the tree, I'm there.

Absolutely Christmas MUSIC! Thanks for a great giveaway. Hope I win!

We have a tradition of playing Christmas music and drinking eggnog while decorating the tree - I do the unfun task of actually putting it up and stringing the lights beforehand. Me and my husband always tell the boys about the significance of some of the ornaments - one of my favorite parts of the holiday.

Nothing better to get me in the holiday spirit is to bake cookies. And then of course put the tree up. :) I enjoy having Christmas music playing all day every day during the Christmas season. :)

Congrats on your hits!! :)

My favorite is definitely holiday music! I actually am ALWAYS in the Christmas spirit. I listen to Christmas music year round. I absolutely LOVE it and am thrilled when the radio stations start playing 24/7. I found one that started November 1st this year and I was tickled pink!

Congrats on the 10k mark!! You know your blog is FAB!!

Living in So Cal can make getting into the holiday spirit hard. Funny, but you know it's the holidays when egg nog shows up at the grocery store... and all the grocery displays are filled with baking products. When I get ready to get ready (LOL) I hang lights on the house, bake cookies, and listen to holiday music. Let's not forget stampin' the ol' Christmas cards late into the night!!!

I think the music of the seasons does it for me. And I like calm soothing carols, not the Rudolph kind. They remind me of the peace of the Child and the peace of the season if we but accept it.

Welllll...I put headband-style reindeer antlers on my puppy "Peanut" and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer at the top of my lungs until he starts howling (er, joining in) It's fun, holiday spirited, and probably a little cruel, but it makes me smile :)

Congrats on 10,000 hits!! That is just awesome!! My favorite way to get in the holiday mood is to meet up with my best friend early December and go Christmas shopping. Seems I just can't get motivated until then! Then of course, Christmas music is the next most inspiring thing - I love Mariah Carey's Christmas CD. Hard to believe Christmas is just around the corner again!!

congrats on the hits, amy!

I start in small ways to get into the holiday spirit - but my first tradition is watching "miracle on 34th street" movie! then I like to decorate in spurts - got the wreath lit over the garage door and smaller wreath on the front door ... then usually it's the mantle, then put together manger, then tree (still not up yet!).

that and decorations at work place, then shopping for presents!

later, alligator!

Nothing gets me more into the Christmas mood than setting up the tree! I'll put on Christmas music and decorate the tree and then just sit and look at the lights. Putting wrapped gifts underneath makes me evern more impatient!

Our house is all decorated and the tree is up, so it's very festive and Christmas'y here. My husband & I baked cookies tonight while listening to Christmas music. And we are getting snow at the moment too. Once the tree is up, I always start feeling the holiday:) What fabulous blog candy! Thanks for the chance to win.

Oh, the tree! Going to get it, decorating it to Christmas music, the smell of it, even the needles on the ground! Congrats on the 10,000! Amazing but not surprising! You are very talented!

Congrats on the 10K hits! I love checking out your creations. Christmas music always seems to work for me. Although it usually works better when there's just a little chill in the air. It's hard for me to get in the spirit when I'm still wearing shorts.

Congrats on the hits! Holiday spirit for me comes with spending time with my family and friends ... especially those far away.

I love putting up the tree, even though I'm not a catholic, I've loved buying a tree (don't get the real one over here) and decorating it, going to my catholic friends houses and hogging the cakes, marzipan and yummy goodies..I just love the whole spirit of christmas of giving and miracles!
