Celebrate Your Inner Rock Star

Put your sunglasses on, I have a very out-of-character bright card to share today. I combined a few different Reverse Confetti sets: INNER ROCK STAR, ARROWS 'N ELEMENTS, and I LIKE YOU

The sentiment, guitar, star (stamped in yellow, behind the sentiment) and music notes (stamped in watermark ink on the green tag) are from INNER ROCK STAR. The red diagonal striped flags are from ARROWS 'N ELEMENTS. Last, I accented the edges of the orange panel with a row of tiny dots using a stamp from I LIKE YOU.

I love, love, LOVE this sentiment!

Paper: white, black, and grey card stock, orange textured card stock

Ink: VersaMark, yellow dye ink, black and red pigment inks

Accessories: green shipping tag, yellow tickets, yellow baker's twine,
pennant border die, open circle border die, washi tape, corner rounder, foam adhesive

Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the Record, You Rock!

Just playing around with some scraps and Reverse Confetti's new INNER ROCK STAR set.

I stamped and trimmed out the guitar and the two records. The white polka dots in the background are done with a stamp from WHOLE LOTTA DOTS. On the kraft card base, I used an old air art tool to mist some pink ink (hard to see), and then I flicked some Earl Grey Maya Mist on top of that. I thought a teensy bit of grunge would suit the rock theme.

The other elements are just a ribbon scrap, a pleated paper scrap, and a Jillibean Soup sticker. Easy-peasy.

Card Kitchen - July Cards

I know we're all in the same "time flies" boat, but wheeee, summer sure is passing quickly! I can't believe I was actually silly enough to think I'd sit the by pool all of July and catch up on correspondence (hanging head in shame over some Christmas thank-you's that have yet to go out!). There's been no sitting at all this summer. It's all good -- an abundance, though!

I realized I haven't yet shared the cards I made using the July Card Kitchen kit. This kit is one of my favorite kits so far. I love the whole veggie theme!

Oh Hello Rock Star

I am loving all the trendy, graphic shapes and images in the latest REVERSE CONFETTI release!

I've combined three of the four new sets to create this bold, bright number: INNER ROCK STAR, ARROWS 'N ELEMENTS, and WHOLE LOTTA DOTS (the circle pattern stamped in white on the black card base). The colors were inspired by a four-pack of Recollections decorative binder clips that I found on clearance at Michael's. (No doubt the clearance price helped justify putting three of them on a single card {wink}.)

I've made some big changes to my blog design. What do you think? I'm actually working with someone on a real redesign, but I couldn't resist tinkering in the meantime. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Reverse Confetti: July Release Blog Hop

Hello, REVERSE CONFETTI fans! The wait is finally over, and it's time for another new release from your favorite new company! That's right, it's our second release and it's even better than the first one. Another four stamp sets were released today and are now available in the store!

We know you all are excited to see what's new, so start by hopping along with the Confetti Crew, as well as some special guests.

The hop began over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Amy Kolling's blog. I recommend starting at the beginning of the hop, so you don't miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using Reverse Confetti's four fabulous new sets.

For my hop card, I used the new Arrows 'N Elements set to create a very graphic CAS card. I used one arrow stamp and three colors of ink to create this fun background pattern, then simply stamped the sentiment in black. Embellishments are just some punched circles, buttons and black sequins.

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today.  Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration!  Now it’s time to hop on over to Dawn Easton's blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog

Celebrate the creative side of you!

Countdown to Confetti: Arrows 'N Elements

Welcome to Day Three of Reverse Confetti's new release countdown.

Today we're featuring an awesome arrow set called ARROWS 'N ELEMENTS. I cannot stop playing with this set! The notebook rule (that I used on on the white panel), the hashtag, "awesome," and the pink arrows are all individual stamps from Arrows 'N Elements -- and I haven't even scratched the surface of what's in this set!

See what I mean?

Some detail shots ...

Countdown to Confetti: Celebrate Cake

REVERSE CONFETTI's second release is just around the corner - Monday, in fact. Peeks began yesterday and will continue today and tomorrow. Monday, we'll celebrate with a big new release blog hop.

If you missed yesterday's featured set, be sure to check out yesterday's post on the Reverse Confetti blog, where you'll see Jen's gorgeous projects and find links to all the design team projects.

And now, for today's featured set, CELEBRATE CAKE, the newest set in the Key Words collection.  I used the word celebrate to create my own background on the main square panel. I colored the outline letters with three different marker colors to coordinate with my background papers. The polka-dot triangle stamp works as a banner, like I did here, or an ice cream cone - so fun!

Reverse Confetti is a proud sponsor of Mojo Monday's 300th sketch, which I've used for today's card:

I'm also linking this up to Stacey's Birthday Linky Party.

Is your mouth watering over this set or what?!
