Just A Little Ray of Sunshine

Good morning, it's a special day for Sketch For You To Try fans! My Favorite Things is sponsoring this week's challenge, so one lucky participant will receive a $25 gift certificate and one of the brand-new Die-namics Jumbo Scallop edge dies!

Here's the sketch:

For my sample, I stamped Rainfall Flopsey onto one of MFT's Perfect Paper Panels, and colored Flopsey and the puddle with Copic markers. The umbrella and boots are paper pieced, and the yellow shading is done with Prismacolor pencils. The clouds are cut from white velvet paper with MFT's Die-namics Clouds Trio and the white scalloped border is cut with MFT's Die-namics Scalloped Scallops edge die. The papers are October Afternoon's Thrift Shop. I made the flower accent using a Martha Stewart hydrangea punch, and gave the puddle a coat of Diamond Glaze for a little shine.

And here's a look at the inside:

Thanks for stopping by today!
