Taylored Expressions 10th Birthday Bash Mega Party!

I'm super excited to help Taylored Expressions celebrate their 10th birthday! Congratulations, Taylor and all the many folks who make TE such a beloved company!

Today's hop is both a birthday celebration and a designer reunion, with almost 40 past designers participating. Visit the Taylored Expressions blog for links to everyone participating today!

To celebrate their birthday, Taylored Expressions released some birthday goodies last night. You'll get to see some of those new products along today's hop, or you can check them all out HERE.

My card for today features some previously released products, including the adorable TROPICAL TRIO STAMP AND DIE COMBO. TE loves birthdays and has tons of ways to celebrate them! I for one can't resist a punny birthday sentiment!

To go along with the whole tropical flair, I created two clusters of tropical florals using dies from the BUILD A SCENE - TROPICAL die collection. All the different build a scene die sets are some of my all-time favorites!

Another personal favorite -- the FRAME IN FRAME CUTTING PLATE, which I used for the light gray frame.

The stitched waves in the background were done with the BUILD A SCENE - ROLLING WAVES die set.

I always have so much fun designing with Taylored Expressions products. They just scream happy!

At the heart of Taylored Expressions is a mission to share joy through the gift of handmade cards. As part of their 10th birthday TE is continuing that mission with the launch of a special Share Joy campaign focused on providing birthday cards to those in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities across the U.S. To make as deep an impact as possible, TE is inviting card makers everywhere to join the campaign. Will you join us? Find out how to participate by viewing the Share Joy page here:

Now before I go, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my past TE creations. I was fortunate to be on the TE Blog Team a while back, and here are two of my favorites:

One-Layer Pinecone Wreath

You all know I'm kind of a layer loving cardmaker, right? I envy those who can pull off a one-layer card with style and pizzazz. Mine usually end up looking plain and boring. So when I do managed to pull it off, naturally I get really jazzed about it! I hope you'll visit me over on the Taylored Expressions blog today to see what I've put together using their gorgeous Simply Stamped - Pinecones stamp set. See you over there!

Hello Warehouse Chic

I'm over on the Taylored Expressions blog today with one of my favorite creations of the year. I had a super fun time watercoloring with Distress Inks on little hexagon canvases and exploring shape and texture. Taylor has called this card "warehouse chic." Pop over to the TE blog and see if you agree!

Have Hope

I've combined many of my favorite things for today's card -- watercolor, florals, hexagons, scenes, machine stitching, and woodgrain -- yet still maintained a rather clean and simple (for me) design. Stop by the Taylored Expressions blog for more details and photos!

Happy Friday, and have a fantastic weekend!

Scattered Leaves

Happy Wednesday, friends! Today, I'm over on the Taylored Expressions blog with an inked and embossed background using the beautiful Scattered Leaves embossing folder. I do believe a little part of me is turning into a technique stamper -- hope you'll check out this latest creation over there!

The folks at Taylored Expressions are giving away a $25 gift certificate, too -- click HERE for all the details. Good luck!

Under the Sea

Please join me on the Taylored Expressions blog today for a cute underwater Birthday Fishes card featuring the Under the Sea stamp set, plus Build A Scene - Rolling Waves and Build A Scene - Underwater dies. I made this over a month ago, and it seems to have kicked off what feels like a non-stop watercoloring binge that's been going on ever since!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Flip Flops

Second post for today. Please scroll down or click HERE if you're looking for my Papertrey June Release in Review post - thanks!

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The LEAD for the Flip Flops challenge will be invited as a guest designer for a future challenge.

So many possibilities with this image -- the turquoise and sand colors, the bokeh, flip flops, summer. Have fun with this one!

I pulled out some new Taylored Expressions' goodies for today and made a super quick card. The flip flops are from the new Flip Flop Garland dies and the waves are from Build A Scene - Rolling Waves. The sand was done with the Build A Scene - Rolling Hills dies.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark and heat embossed in white. Papers are from Carta Bella's Ahoy There 6x6 collection. I totally meant to have that ombre sky go the other way, darkest at top, so that my white sentiment would stand out better. But that was the last sheet, so no re-do's this time.

Make sure you visit each of the designers' blogs for more inspiration!
