Papertrey Ink's October release countdown has begun! This month, we continue with holiday crafting gift-giving products, but also focus on extending those products throughout the winter. Today, in particular, we are introducing the newest Make It Market Mini Kit: Holiday Pin-Ups. These kit is similar to the darling Halloween Pin-Ups kit, but of course re-done for the winter holidays. We are also featuring the newest in the Petite Places series: Holiday Lane.
Today's featured products, along with the rest of the October release, will be available at 10 pm EST October 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.
I just adore Betsy's Holiday Pin-Ups! They're a grown-up version of the clothespin crafts we used to do as kids.
To make this clothespin snowflake, I clipped eight clothespin snowmen and eight mini clothespins from my stash to a circle die-cut. The snowmen are all die-cut from Holiday Pin-Ups papers. The mini clothespins are covered in Aqua Mist crd stock and topped with a stamped snowflake from a new snowflake set by Heather called Snowflake Sparkle. The center is a vellum circle, a Snowflake Medallion, and a glittered white Christmas Cheer die-cut.
STAMPS: Snowflake Sparkle
DIES: Snowflake Sparkle, Snowflake Medallion, Christmas Cheer, Holiday Pin-Ups
INK: Aqua Mist
PAPER: white and Aqua Mist card stock, vellum card stock, Holiday Pin-Ups papers
OTHER: clothespins, Stickles, clear glitter
Next up is Petite Places: Holiday Lane:
How adorable is Santa's workshop?!? Stamped with different images, it can also be a gingerbread house. So clever!
The snowy banks are done with the Waves Cover Plate, and the background is watercolored. It's a panel I had previously colored, so I can't remember for sure what I used to do the coloring. Probably inks rather than watercolor paints. All of the other images are from the Holiday Lane set. So much detail!
Edited to add:
I forgot to mention that the smoke coming from the chimney is actually one of the little scroll-y cut-outs from last month's Square Petite Ornament. I had set the scrolls aside thinking they might work as cute embellishments for more Bible journaling in my planner. Lo and behold, they're perfect here, too! I always love finding fun little surprises like that!
Along the top I added some candy cane stripes using the new Pure Poppy + White Basics Paper Collection. The little tag was cut with a die from the Holiday Pin-Ups set.
STAMPS: Petite Places: Holiday Lane
DIES: Petite Places: Holiday Lane, Holiday Pin-Ups, Waves Cover Plate
INK: Pure Poppy, Hibiscus Burst, Aqua Mist, New Leaf, Smokey Shadow
PAPER: watercolor paper; white and Vintage Jadeite card stock; Pure Poppy + White Basics Paper Collection
OTHER: True Black baker's twine, wood veneer stars, foam adhesive
