Papertrey Ink July Release In Review

The Papertrey Ink July release will be available in the store tonight at 10 pm EST. I have a few more release projects to share today.

First up is the Morning By Morning stamps and dies. These are some of prettiest florals I've ever stamped with! My colors aren't the typical blues and purples, but I do think morning glories come in pinks, too. (And if not, call this creative license!)

I stamped and die-cut the main floral image and placed it on a soft gray watercolored background, then stamped the sentiment in a gray ink to match the background. This is so much prettier in real life than in the photo!

Stamps: Morning By Morning
Dies: Morning By Morning
Ink: Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Harvest Gold, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, Pumice Stone Distress ink
Paper: white and Soft Stone card stock; watercolor paper
Other: Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, clear sequins

I love the many possibilities with Petite Places: Main Street (coffee, flowers, cafe, bistro), but coffee first. Of course. Always {wink}.

On the Smokey Shadow card base, I stamped a "Let's Do Coffee" background in VersaMark ink.

The row of buildings is placed against a shortened Blue Skies Cover Plate panel that is sponged lightly with Aqua Mist ink. As always, the Petite Places details are incredible -- the little table and chairs and the flower cart just for starters. Along the bottom, I white embossed a sentiment from Keep It Simple: Just Because.

Stamps: Petite Places: Main Street, Keep It Simple: Just Because
DiesPetite Places: Main Street, Blue Skies Cover Plate
Ink: Ocean Tides, Melon Berry, Harvest Gold, Aqua Mist, Smokey Shadow, True Black, VersaMark
Paper: white, Smokey Shadow, Ocean Tides card stock; Black & White All Over paper collection
Other: vellum, white linen thread, foam adhesive, sponge daubers, white embossing powder

You've had lots of looks at Maile Belles' new So Striking collection (stamps, dies, and a paper collection) during Sunday's group post and from Maile's extra peeks. Here's my take. I was especially drawn to this fun, graphic, sunburst pattern. I added two tags from the Keep It Simple: Frames die set, and added a stamped sun, stamped sentiment, and die-cut sentiment.

The word "awesome" is cut four times from Spring Rain card stock and stacked for extra thickness. I also machine stitched along the rays, just for fun.

Stamps: So Striking
Dies: So Striking, Keep It Simple Frames
Ink: Summer Sunrise, True Black
Paper: Fresh Snow linen, white, Soft Stone, and Smokey Shadow card stock; So Striking paper collection
Other: foam adhesive, sewing machine, white linen thread

I think this is my first-ever Rosh Hashanah card! I love this sweet set designed by Lizzie Jones, and am so glad to have it in my collection.

I stamped and die-cut nine apples and arranged them in a grid on a Stitched Rectangle die-cut. leaving room between the second and third row for a stamped sentiment.

I added some Glossy Accents to the honey for some realistic shine. It sure looks sticky!

Stamps: L'Shanah Tovah
Dies: L'Shanah Tovah, Stitched Rectangles
Ink: Pure Poppy, Limeade Ice, Harvest Gold, Fine Linen, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, True Black
Paper: Fresh Snow linen, white, and Limeade Ice card stock; Black & White All Over paper collection
Other: foam adhesive, Glossy Accents, white linen thread

Last is a fun one using Perfect Pairing and the Triangle Trio dies. I have my daughter to thank for this card. She commented that the Triangle Trio die reminded her of a certain Jamberry nail wrap and suggested I try making a card based on the wrap. We worked on this together, which was so fun!

The sentiment, from Perfect Pairing, was stamped onto a white Triangle Trio die-cut and embossed in gold. The gold foil chevron panel wasn't die-cut, as I was going for a different angle to match the nail wrap.

Along the top of the Sweet Blush card base, I added a falling cascade of gold sequins.

Stamps: Perfect Pairing
Dies: Triangle Trio
Ink: VersaMark
Paper: Sweet Blush and Fresh Snow linen card stock; Gold Luxe Foil Paper Collection
Other: gold sequins, gold embossing powder

Are you loving this release as much as I am?

Your pink morning glories on the grey background are beautiful. Unusual colors for "beautiful" since grey is so somber, but not on this card!
