Deck the Halls With Inky Paws Featured Guest

[Second post today -- for my Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Special Thanks post, scroll down or click HERE]

I'm so excited to be today's featured guest for DECK THE HALLS WITH INKY PAWS week over at Newton's Nook Designs! The week of fun began on Monday and concludes with a big blog hop and prizes on Friday. Be sure to tune in to the Newton's Nook blog each day this week so you won't miss a thing!

My first card features WINTER TAILS. I knew I could have lots of fun making piles and piles of snow.

Hate snow? "Make it stop" is the perfect sentiment. Love snow? Switch out for "let it snow."

I stamped the snowy hills, added some Copic shadows and tiny dots of glitter, then embellished with sequins and wood veneer snowflakes.

My next card features the sweet kitty, Newton, playing with a strand of Christmas lights. This image is from NEWTON'S HOLIDAY MISCHIEF.

I wanted to give the impression that Newton is either getting ready to put the lights on the tree or has mischievously pulled them off the tree. His head is stamped a second time, trimmed out, and popped up in front of the tree (which I cut with my Silhouette), so that he looks almost like he's crawling under the tree.

A little Copic shadowing grounds the scene. I added clear glaze to the lights for extra shine.

I hope you've enjoyed my Newton's Nook creations today. Thanks for visiting! And thank you, Jennifer Jackson, for inviting me to join you this week!

Two beautiful (and funny, too!) cards. Those sets are adorable.

I love both of these cards! All the sparkles you added to the snow on the first one are so fun! The kitty card is super cute too! I love how you put the kitty next to the tree and added gloss to the lights! Thanks so much for being our guest this week!

Amy, both of these card are outstanding! I had a laugh when I saw your first one. Living in Toronto (Canada), we definitely get our share of snow and that's exactly how I feel mid-way through winter (I'm still in awe of the first few, pretty snowfalls). But as a cat lover, your 2nd card made me feel warm & fuzzy all over! Beautiful colouring, as usual. Great job!
