February Card Kitchen, Part 1

Hello, my friends, have you seen the February Card Kitchen kit? Oh MY! I am so in love. What's in it?

I tell ya, the blue/green/yellow color combo makes me happy, happy, happy every single time, so this month's kit delivers in a big way! I love the embellishments, too -- wood buttons, twine, chevron twill ribbon, corrugated card board, metal clips, etc. The Card Kitchen kits come with 8 card bases, but there's always so much left over that you can easily make more just by adding some of your own card stock. I did 10 cards this month, and could have kept on going!

Here are the first few of my kit cards:

On these first two cards, I fussy cut some branches and birdhouses from one of the Pebbles patterns to make some cute little accents, which I popped up on some foam dots for some added dimension.

It's easy and fun to customize the "thinking of you" sentiment stickers that are in the kit with some of the family pennant stickers (also in the kit), which is what I did on these last two cards. I chose "dad" and "mom" for these, but there are other good choices, too ... son, daughter, cousins, etc. And check out that metal bird clip on the mom card. LOVE!

For more info, visit the Card Kitchen home page, The Card Kitchen blog, and/or The Card Kitchen on Facebook. You'll also get to see some delicious eye candy from Kimber McGray and guest designer Laurel Seabrook. They rocked this kit!

Thanks for visiting,
