I'm bummed I wasn't able to participate in this month's hop, but I do have a crafty little Verve something to share. I'm back on the PTO Teacher/Staff Appreciation Committee (for my older two kids' elementary school) this year, and one of the things the committee does is make little treats for the teachers and staff several times a year. The committee chair came up with this Whoopie Pie idea and asked me to make some tags.
I knew Verve's new Notebook Page Plain Jane would be perfect for what I had in mind. I downloaded a couple of free fonts to use for "Back to School" and "Whoopie," printed them, die-cut them with Verve's Rounded Rectangle die, then stamped the notebook page in blue ink. Cute and easy!
At the last Verve release party, there was a question about using the coordinating dies and stamps, specifically do you cut first, then stamp or stamp first, then cut. *Normally,* I would stamp first and then die-cut. Verve's complimentary clear alignment tools make precise cutting/matting a breeze (see this tutorial for specifics). In this case, I had almost 80 tags to make, so to streamline the process, I opted to just eyeball it.
You can certainly tell. In fact, I almost missed my mark altogether on this particular tag. I seriously doubt anyone over at the school noticed, but you guys, on the other hand, might! Perhaps you'll think I'm a lazy stamper. As you wish. I prefer "efficient" when it comes to 80 tags {*grin*}.
Have a lovely day!

Very cute! I agree with you on both counts. Those teachers won't mind if they do notice and I would choose efficient with 80 tags too!
Wow, 80 tags! That's a big project! They turned out really cute!
80, oh my goodness! But these are fabulous, what a fun idea!
just adorable & so fun! you had to make a ton-but i'm sure they will love them!
I don't know which I admire more: the so-much-school look of the tags, or the number of them you produced O.O Great job, Amy!!
80 tags....if any one says ANYTHING to you about them being "off" I will beat them for you!! LOL!! TOTALLY fun!
