Introducing Shaped Sayings: Birthday

Happy Friday, friends, and welcome to Papertrey Ink's March release countdown. I'm excited to introduce Shaped Sayings: Birthday, which is the second in a new series designed by Maile Belles.

The March release will be available at 10 pm March 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

I have a few different projects to share, beginning with this birthday balloon card:

My "balloon" is actually an upside-down Tag Sale #4 die-cut. Inside is a white circle stamped with colorful confetti using Confetti Toss.  Next is an Enchanted Evening Shaped Sayings: Birthday die-cut on top. To complete the balloon look, I tied on some Balloon Strings die-cuts.

In the background, I first lightly sponged the perimeter with Aqua Mist, then used one of the Modern Background Stencils to add some additional Aqua Mist pattern. The clouds were die-cut with Blue Skies dies. To help them stand out more against the light background, I cut them out of Papertrey's super thick, heavy 160# White Tag Stock and then doubled up each cloud for added dimension.

Stamps: Confetti Toss

Dies: Shaped Sayings: Birthday, Tag Sale #4, Blue Skies, Balloon Strings

Ink: Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist, New Leaf, Summer Sunrise, Enchanted Evening

Paper: Stamper's Select White, New Leaf, Enchanted Evening

Other: Modern Backgrounds Stencil Collection, clear sequins, ink blending tool

Next up is a very feminine birthday gift wrap project. For this, I started, again, with a Tag Sale #4 die-cut, this time in white. On top of that, in Soft Stone, I added just the outline die-cut from Enclosed: Flower (trimming out the word Smile, which is built in to the flower outline). Next is the Shaped Sayings: Birthday die-cut done in Luxe Gold Adhesive.

I embellished the tag with stamped flowers from Betsy's new Bloomin' Cute, along with some Branching Out die-cuts in Mint Julep. The glittery silver clothespin was a Target Dollar Spot holiday find. I topped the clothespin with some Sweet Blush satin ribbon.

Here's a look at the shine from the Luxe Gold Adhesive.

My last project shows off the playful, kinetic side of the Shapes Sayings: Birthday die:

Lots of bright and lots of happy on this one. l trimmed down a piece of Star Scribbles patterned paper, then randomly stamped some additional stars and splatter before layering on the Shaped Sayings: Birthday die-cut.

The sentiment is cut from a new color, Green Parakeet, and sponged at the bottom with New Leaf ink for an ombre effect. I added a narrow strip of Black and White All Over Stripes paper, along with some True Black Baker's Twine.

Reverse Confetti March Hop

It's New Release Blog Hop Day at Reverse Confetti! All of the stamps, Confett Cuts dies, and Quick Card panels you've been seeing these last few days are now available in the Reverse Confetti store

I've created two birthday cards for today, both using Whole Lotta Happy stamps, Pretty Panels: Happy and Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts dies, plus some of the other new goodies.

I love Whole Lotta Happy! So many occasions and celebrations are included, and I adore the font. I also love the So Very Spring Quick Card Panels, and this one in particular is my favorite! Remember, the Quick Card Panels are limited edition, so when they're gone, they're gone.

The flower was done with dies from the Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts set. I framed the Pretty Panels: Happy die-cut with a large white die-cut from the Swirlies Confetti Cuts set.

PAPER: So Very Spring Quick Card Panels; Papertrey White, Tropical Teal, Berry Sorbet, New Leaf, and Bright Buttercup card stock

OTHER: Honeydew Solid Twine, white embossing powder, enamel dot, foam tape

For this next card, I again used the Pretty Panels: Happy die, but this time I cut it down to a circle using the circle die from Flowers for Mom. I popped the pink circle up onto a white circle for some fun dimension. Behind the sentiment grouping is a Double Panel Hearts Confetti Cuts die-cut

Countdown to Confetti - Rose Garden

Welcome to the third and final day of Reverse Confetti's March Release Countdown. Today's featured set is Rose Garden, and WOW, is it a beauty!

All of the new products will be available in the Reverse Confetti store at midnight!

I did a little masking with the outline images from Rose Garden, heat embossing in white after each impression. Once I had my composition all stamped and embossed, I watercolored with a mixture of Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and Tombow Dual Brush Markers.

I watercolored a blue background to help both the outside lines of the images and the sentiment to stand out. A length of white linen thread was tied on for a subtle embellishment.

I love that this set has a mixture of both solid and outline images -- perfect for colorers and non-colorers alike! Or, mix and match for even more possibilities!

Countdown to Confetti - Butterfly Dreams & Whole Lotta Happy

Welcome to Day One of Reverse Confetti's March Release Countdown! Today we are featuring two stamp sets, as well as coordinating Confetti Cuts dies: Butterfly Dreams and Whole Lotta Happy.

All of the new products will be available in the Reverse Confetti store at midnight EST March 8.

My project today features Butterfly Dreams, as well as one of the So Very Spring Quick Card Panels. I'm smitten with these butterflies! I stamped the largest one in two inks for an ombre effect, then popped it up onto a pink dot-border circle die-cut (from the Flowers for Mom die set we introduced yesterday) and then a green striped So Very Spring Quick Card Panel. For an extra pop of color, I added a large bright yellow wreath that I die-cut using the Wreaths Confetti Cuts set.

I love when I find pretty patterned papers that complement the Quick Card Panels. The gray/black floral pattern is from the Simple Stories Carpe Diem 6x6 pad.

STAMPS: Butterfly Dreams

INK: PTI Hawaiian Shores and Tropical Teal
