Congratulations

I was catching up on various challenges this morning, and was immediately drawn to this week's CAS(E) This Sketch & Fusion joint challenge. What's not to love about this elegant inspiration photo? And the sketch is fab, too, so I used both!

I stuck with a minimal design -- a sprinkling of wood stars, sequins, and rhinestones, some gold cord, and a simple, elegant "Congratulations" sentiment from Reverse Confetti's WINNING set.

Reverse Confetti June Blog Hop

Hey there, Reverse Confetti fans! It’s the 8th of the month and time for another sizzling Blog Hop from the Confetti Crew and a few other friends. Summer is quickly approaching, so this is a good excuse to stay inside out of the heat and recharge your batteries with us! We’ll give you a minute to grab a glass of lemonade as we hop along together and share some crafty goodness with you!

My daughter and I have been putting together year-end lemonade gifts for the bus drivers, school administrators, office staff, teachers, etc. I found cute pitcher gifts HERE and HERE, but wanted something smaller and more affordable (I need about twenty total), so I decided to do a single-size version. I put two packets of sugar and two lemons in a pint-size mason jar, switched the lid for one that has a daisy cut-out (I ordered these a while back from Pick Your Plum, but Amazon sells similar ones), and added a cute paper straw embellished with a flag and tag combo. The Kraft flag is stamped in Kraft ink with WHOLE LOTTA DOTS. The something yummy sentiment label is done with stamps from LABEL ME and die-cut with the matching LABEL ME CONFETTI CUTS die. The tag is stamped with a heart from WHOLE LOTTA HEARTS. The "to" and "from" are from LABEL ME, and the tag is die-cut with the smaller tag die in the TAG ME CONFETTI CUTS die set. For the recipe, I die-cut the computer-generated text with the larger tag in the TAG ME CONFETTI CUTS set, and slipped it down inside the jar with the lemons and sugar. 

Fresh-Squeezed

Lemonade

Stir together sugar and 1/4 cup hot 

water until sugar is dissolved

Stir in 3 tablespoons of lemon juice

and 3/4 cup cold water

Fill to the top with ice and enjoy!

Hello friends! The first of the month is always fun, because it brings us a brand-new SFYTT from Reverse Confetti.

I mixed some papers from the Kaisercraft Storyteller collection and from Marion Smith Designs' Nirvana collection to create a lovely, floral backdrop for the coffee cup and sentiment from Reverse Confetti's BE A BARISTA set.

I'm On Confetti Camera!

It's Confetti Camera day over on the Reverse Confetti blog! Confetti Camera is the weekly feature where we shine the spotlight on one of the Confetti Crew designers and offer a glimpse into her creative process through a project created just for that day. Birthday Cheer

I adore the Birthday Bisque line from Jillibean Soup! The above card features some of the Birthday Bisque Pea Pod Die Cuts, Birthday Wood Sprinkles (love those -- like enamel dots surrounded by a ring a wood!) and Birthday Bisque Flash Cards. 

I've got a bunch of forgot-to-blog not-yet-blogged Jillibean Soup cards from a batch I made for CHA back in January. How about another ...

I pulled a more toned down color combo from the bright Birthday Bisque line to get a more masculine look. The "cheers" letters are Grilled Grey Thin Chip Beanboard Alphas -- love their slim profile, and they come in great colors! With cute names, too: gumbo green, tart teal, yam yellow, etc.

Hoot Hoot Hooray! SFYTT

Reverse Confetti's new OLIVER OWL sure is a cutie-pie! All six of the new stamp sets, along with the six new Confetti Cuts dies/die sets that we were showing off all last week, are now available in the Reverse Confetti store.

One thing I can say for sure ... coloring with Copics isn't like riding a bike, not for me, anyway. I'm out of practice, but this little fellow, in fact this whole Quirky Cuties line by Reverse Confetti (BeBe Bunny and Freida Fox are two others), is plenty of motivation to get back into some coloring!

The layout is based on the May Sketch For You To Try. There are still a few more days to play along -- entries are due by noon CST on May 14.

Reverse Confetti May Release Blog Hop

Hello Reverse Confetti friends! We have had such a wonderful time celebrating our FIRST BIRTHDAY with all of you and sharing all of the fabulous sneak peeks for this month’s brand new release. We hope you’ve liked what you’ve seen so far! With six new stamp sets and six new Confetti Cuts Dies, there’s a lot of inspiration to be had. Today, since it’s the 8th of the month, the Confetti Crew, Challenge Crew, and a few of our friends are excited to bring you a few more projects for our Reverse Confetti new release blog hop using all the latest RC products.  Now’s the time to hop along with us and be sparked by the crafty goodness!

My card today features the fun new LABEL ME stamp set and coordinating LABEL ME CONFETTI CUTS die. Lots of white space and small pops of color today. On the top layer, I die-cut the LABEL ME frame as a window to the bottom layer, where I did my stamping. A little hand-stitching around the perimeter adds a little interest. The candles are made with narrow strips stamped with one of the images from SO STRIPEY. The stars on top are OH MY STARS die-cuts stamped with the star image from WINNING. The tiny star border is also from OH MY STARS.
