Countdown to Confetti: Here We Go and Let's Chill

Welcome to Day 3 of Reverse Confetti's countdown to the new release. You can find Day 1 peeks HERE, and Day 2 peeks HERE if you need to catch up. All of the new stamps and dies will be available at midnight!

Happy 1st Birthday to Reverse Confetti!

We're celebrating with lots of prizes! One commenter will receive the full release (six stamp sets and six Confetti Cuts!), one will win a $25 gift card, and there is also a Facebook promo for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate. All the details are over on the Reverse Confetti blog, along with a list of designers who are sharing peeks today.

Today we're featuring the last two of our six new sets: HERE WE GO and LET'S CHILL, as well as their corresponding die sets: HERE WE GO CONFETTI CUTS and LET'S CHILL CONFETTI CUTS.

Both of today's sets are so darling and fun! For my yellow submarine card, I started with a light blue watercolor wash (using Gelatos), then spritzed on some white speckles, stamped the bubbles, added clear dimensional glaze, and finished off with some wavy strands that I die-cut with the DOIN' THE WAVE die. I originally intended them to be horizontal waves, but the vertical orientation looked better design-wise. Think of them as seaweed or something {wink}!

This next card features the LET'S CHILL set and matching dies:

I used the LET'S CHILL CONFETTI CUTS for the popsicles. The sentiment is from LET'S CHILL, and is stamped on a LABEL ME die-cut that has been folded in half. Also making appearances are the DOIN' THE WAVE CONFETTI CUTS and the SCALLOP BORDER CONFETTI CUTS.

Countdown to Confetti: Oliver Owl & Winning

Happy 1st Birthday to Reverse Confetti

Join us today, tomorrow, and Wednesday, as we count down to the amazing anniversary release on the 8th, then join us again on Thursday for our monthly blog hop. We're celebrating with lots of prizes, too: one commenter will receive the full release (six stamp sets and six Confetti Cuts!), one will win a $25 gift card, and there is also a Facebook promo for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate. All the details are over on the Reverse Confetti blog, along with a list of designers who are sharing peeks today.

Today, we're featuring two of the six new stamp sets coming out on Thursday: OLIVER OWL, the newest set in the Quirky Cuties line, and WINNING. WINNING has a companion WINNING CONFETTI CUTS die set, and another new die set, OH MY STARS, makes an appearance today, too. So, so much good stuff coming on the 8th -- can't wait for you to see it all!

I'm sharing a little matchbook-style gift card holder project, perfect for end-of-season coach's and/or player gifts. The trophy stamp and #1 award circle are from WINNING, and both are die-cut with the companion WINNING CONFETTI CUTS dies. The stars are from, you guessed it, OH MY STARS. It opens like a matchbook, and inside is the gift card.

Cards For Him Blog Hop

Some of the Reverse Confetti designers are teaming up with StampNation today to celebrate the men in our lives and StampNation's newest online class, “Cards For Him,” which is now open for registration!  This class is perfectly timed for Father’s Day which is right around the corner, but of course is great for masculine card ideas year-round.
Masculine cards are challenging for many of us, and this class really delivers when it comes to ideas and techniques especially suitable for little boys, tweens/teens, and men! Today's card was inspired by the Texture lesson:

I started by spreading some dimensional paint over a stencil on watercolor paper. After the paint dried, I used re-inkers, a mop brush, and water to splotch on some color. I love how the modeling paste resists the ink a little bit. The sentiment, a mix of stamps from Reverse Confetti's ARROWS 'N ELEMENTS, CLASS ACT, and SPOOKY SENTIMENTS, is die-cut with the little pocket/flap die in the CLASS ACT CONFETTI CUTS die set.

There are TEN FREE class registrations hidden along the hop, as well as a $15 REVERSE CONFETTI gift certificate, so make sure you leave comments along the way. The more comments you make, the greater your chances are for winning!
You have until 11:59 pm on May 2nd to leave a comment to be entered to win!  Winners will be announced at on May 3rd on Catherine's Blog.

Click HERE to learn more and to Register by May 7 to get the discounted rate!

Curtain Call: Confetti Crush

Today's card was inspired by the current Curtain Call Confetti Crush challenge, sponsored by Reverse Confetti.

I didn't set out intending to CASE this gorgeous card by Amy Kolling, but that's where I ended up. Thank you for the extra inspiration, Amy!

I just love the random spillage of confetti in the background of the inspiration picture, and the paper cones reminded me of vellum. Deep in the craft vault, I found some colored vellum I could use, so a plus for finding and using some {very old} stash! The sequins add to the festive feel, and conveniently hide the glue dots that are holding down the vellum. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti's Lots To Say set.

There's still time to play along, but hurry! The challenge closes at 8 am CDT tomorrow April 25, and the lead will win a gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store.

Thanks for stopping by!

Reverse Confetti April Color Challenge

Reverse Confetti has introduced its new Color Challenge for April. Such soft, soothing, Spring-inspired colors -- positively dreamy! For more color challenge inspiration, the link list, and all the details, please visit the Reverse Confetti blog.

To my surprise and dismay, my overstuffed craft room is actually missing something -- the color purple. I had to dig through a ginormous stack of giveaway/throwaway 12x12 papers to find something. I kid you not, that purple piece is from the 1990's! Slim pickings in the embellishments department as well, but I did find a few different inks to choose among.

The flowers are from PETALS 'N POSIES and have been die-cut with the matching PETALS 'N POSIES CONFETTI CUTS dies. The sentiment is from CARTON CUTIES. Everything is placed on a Soft Stone card base.

And the layout is the current Retro Sketches #110 - how fun!

Remember, more challenge inspiration plus all the details are posted over on the Reverse Confetti blog!
