Countdown to Confetti: Beautiful Banners & Petals 'n Posies

Today's featured sets are BEAUTIFUL BANNERS and PETALS 'N POSIES. My first project is a birthday treat package using sentiments from BEAUTIFUL BANNERS as well as the companion BEAUTIFUL BANNERS Confetti Cuts dies. Love the font on the Beautiful Banners sentiments!  The tent was die-cut with the previously released SWEET TREAT TENT die.

Next up is a card I made using the PETALS 'N POSIES set along with the matching PETALS 'N POSIES Confetti Cuts dies.

Flowers, flowers, flowers -- I love this set! And the matching dies are a pretty much must-have. I love that the dies are open in the middle. Makes it so easy to line up the die to the stamped image. I added a fun die-cut shape to the tag, too - that little pointy tab piece. More on that tomorrow.

Countdown to Confetti: Bebe Bunny

Today's featured sets are BEBE BUNNY, the newest addition to the Quirky Cuties line, and ALL ABOUT YOU, the latest in the Key Words line.

BEBE BUNNY -- just look at that sweet face! She's a perfect companion to FRIEDA FOX from our last release. I dusted off the Tombow markers and did some loose watercoloring, then trimmed her out and placed her on a colorful background panel.

The layout is the current CAS(E) this Sketch challenge (#66), which I flipped to better accommodate Bebe Bunny. I fully intended to keep it CAS, but after a little of this and a little of that, I kinda missed the mark!

March SFYTT

Happy Saturday and hello March. Isn't this the month that goes out like a lamb? Bring it on, right?

The first of the month means it's time for Reverse Confetti's Sketch For You To Try. Hope you'll join us!

Here's what we're working with this month:

My card features the sweet little house image from the GO TOGETHER stamp set. The background chevrons were created with mists and a mask. Instead of a separate layer for the orange panel on the sketch, I stamped a faux panel with the big "TOGETHER" stamp. I clipped one of those uber-trendy messy thread "nests" behind the house. The card kind of matches our family ... one part mess, one part fun, one part funky.

SFYTT NOTES TO KNOW:

There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 14th. The sketch will be posted in the sidebar on the RC blog and you will be able to click on it to get to that month’s SFYTT post with the link list during this time.

Reverse Confetti stamps are required to win.  This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps.  Anyone is welcome to play, though!

You may enter as many times as you wish.

There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 15th of each month.

February Card Kitchen

On the eve of a brand-new Card Kitchen kit reveal, I'm reminded I haven't yet shared my current kit creations. Here we go!

F is For Family

The "F is for Family" strip is cut from a larger alphabet/text paper design. I enjoyed using these strips as sentiment so much that I added them on all of my samples this month. (You'll see.) 

The kit includes a darling little vintage flash card, and I got lucky with the one in my kit. The 1/5 fraction flash card is perfect for my little family of five! 

Imagine | Dream | Journey

This one started out as a sketch challenge attempt, but I veered off quite a bit when my circle windows took up more space than I had anticipated. Still, I love how this one turned out!

J is for Journey

The journey sentiment seemed perfect for the large postcard shipping tag and the vintage stamps (you  know, the kind of stamps you lick and stick).

Love You Always

Here, I've put three of the alphabet strips together for yet another option. The bright colors in this kit were so fun to work with, and I loved the generous assortment of those woodgrain epoxy buttons.

S is for Summer

The pinwheel is a GREAT way to show off both sides of a double-sided paper. There are some pinwheel dies on the market, or you can easily make one with your basic tools. Start by by trimming a square. Then, from each corner, cut along the diagonal, stopping about halfway before you reach the center. Fold down at each corner and secure in the center.

V is for Victory

Loved putting the red, white, and blue patterns together for a 4th of July/Americana look! 

W is for Wonder

More colorful patterns, more woodgrain buttons ...

Xtra Kindness

I created some dimension by topping a die-cut flower with a rolled flower. The rolled flower is another of those things that you can do with a die OR the old-fashioned way ... with scissors. Lots of video tutorials on this if you're interested!

Something Wonderful

Some Reverse Confetti cheer to share today ... do you love this sentiment or what? I am helping to coach my daughter's Odyssey of the Mind team this year. We compete on March 15, and I tell ya, something wonderful needs to happen between now and competition day! This is for the head coach, who might be even more nervous than I am!

The sentiment and origami crane are from Reverse Confetti's Paper Crane stamp set. The tag was die-cut with Reverse Confetti's Tag Me die set. The lovely papers are from Pink Paislee (Color Wash) -- I just adore the artsy designs and the soft colors in this collection!

Reverse Confetti February Blog Hop

It's the 8th of the month -- Blog Hop time at Reverse Confetti! The Confetti Crew and friends have whipped up some fresh inspiration for your enjoyment, so grab a cuppa and cruise on through! The hop begins over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have arrived here by way of Leigh Penner.

For my project, I wanted to show some more love to the amazing Valentine sets from last month's release. I was inspired by photos of colored pencils arranged around a heart opening, and decided to do something similar with the arrows in CRUSHIN'. The tag was die-cut using a TAG ME Confetti Cuts die, the felt heart was die-cut with the LOVE NOTE die set, and the small scallop border was done with the DOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts die. 

Here's another look at that embellishment/sentiment cluster:

I used this month's SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY as the basis for my layout.
