Fantastic!

I've been having way too much fun with the current Curtain Call Bow Tie challenge! Today's card is the last of the batch of four cards I made for this challenge.

Just a reminder, our sponsor is Waffle Flower Crafts, and a randomly selected participant in the Bow Tie challenge will have his or her choice of a Waffle Flower Crafts stamp set! Have you played along yet? Tomorrow is the deadline (8 am CST).

I have used Waffle Flower's Mailable 3D Bow Template Die and their Bowtiful Additions stamp set.

Have a great weekend!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Bow Tie Reminder

There is still time to play along with the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Bow Tie! You have until August 10th at 8:00 AM CDT.

Lead and Show Stoppers from this challenge will be announced on August 14 on the Curtain Call blog

Waffle Flower Crafts is sponsoring the Bow Tie challenge. A randomly selected participant in the Bow Tie challenge will have his or her choice of a Waffle Flower Crafts stamp set!

Once again, I was inspired by the colors of the bow tie as well as the bow tie itself. I used their Mailable 3D Bow Template Die and the Bowtiful Additions stamp set.

Update: I just noticed at this angle you can see that I covered some stamping with the felt bow -- oops! That's like having spinach in your teeth or your underwear showing!

I die-cut my pair of hearts, layered the felt bow onto them, then topped the bow with a wood veneer heart. For fun and pizzazz, I splattered white and black paint onto the background, sprinkled on some silver star sequins, and then added the length of sparkly twine to the background.

Thanks for visiting!

I Love Us

I mentioned having gone a little overboard making cards for the current Curtain Call Bow Tie challenge. Today's card is one of my extras.

I used Waffle Flower's  Mailable 3D Bow Template Die and some Papertrey Ink felt for the bow tie, and Waffle Flower's Bowtiful Additions stamp set for the sentiment.

The Bow Tie challenge is being sponsored by Waffle Flower Crafts. One random challenge participant will receive a Waffle Flower Crafts stamp set of his or her choice. Link up your  entry HERE before 8 am CST August 10.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Bow Tie

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

We have a new sponsor, Waffle Flower Crafts, for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Bow Tie!  A randomly selected participant in the Bow Tie challenge will have their choice of a Waffle Flower Crafts stamp set!

I got a little carried away making samples for this challenge, so you'll be seeing lots more bow tie inspiration from me in the next couple of weeks. For today's card, I was inspired by both the bow tie and the color combo in the inspiration graphic. The gorgeous dimensional bow was done with Waffle Flower's Mailable 3D Bow Template Die (I added the extra tails in the back), and the "HEY HANDSOME" sentiment, which I stamped on white satin ribbon, is from Waffle Flower's Bowtiful Additions stamp set. I think it's the buttons that make me think of this as a baby boy card!

Here's a closer look at the Mailable 3D Bow Template Die. Pretty cool!
