Papertrey April Release in Review

Today we wrap up Papertrey's April release countdown with our monthly Release in Review.

All of the new products will be available at 10 pm tonight in the Papertrey Ink store.

I'll be sharing most of my remaining projects in a few days, but I do have one thing to share today:

This is Betsy's Paper Clippings: Thank You. I love the intricate die-cuts in the Paper Clippings series, but I've used the stamps on this card, so that I could add shading for a faux brush lettering look. More on that coming soon!

In the background, I've done a light sponging using one of the Modern Backgrounds stencils.

The sentiment strip is embellished with a pair of Branching Out branches and a simple yellow sponged butterfly.

Stamps: Paper Clippings: Thank You

Dies: Branching Out, Cover Plate: Bitty Butterflies

Ink: Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold, Amethyst Allure, True Black

Paper: Mint Julep and Stamper's Select white card stock; vellum card stock; True Black Gingham patterned paper

Other: Modern Backgrounds stencil, sponge daubers, white linen thread, black button, corner rounder

Oh-la-la, Amy, your technique looks fascinating! Love your card but then have you ever made one that I didn't love? Eager to see the rest of your release creations. I know they'll be simply divine!

Thank you for this great idea for using brush strokes. I will certainly be trying this out as soon as possible. A really neat way of adding your own touch.
