Introducing Peonies on Parade, Paper Clippings & Inspired

It's the 5th day of Papertrey's 9th anniversary release, and five more to go! I'm having so much fun with all of the new products!

Today we are introducing a beautiful new floral set by Dawn McVey called Peonies on Parade. There is a stamp set, coordinating dies, and, like Bold Blossoms last month and What the Doodle: Butterfly yesterday, there will be two paper collections for coloring, one on standard white card stock and one on watercolor paper. We are also introducing two new stamp/die series by Betsy Veldman. The first series is Paper Clippings, which features a beautiful, intricate die-cut reminiscent of intricate paper cutting art. We'll begin that series with Paper Clippings: Happy Day. The second series, also by Betsy Veldman, is called Inspired, and will feature faith-based phrases. We begin that series with Inspired: Savior.

All of the new products will be available at 10 pm EST February 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.

My project today features Inspired: Savior, along with florals and vines from Paper Clippings: Happy Day. I don't often work with purples, not because I don't like them, but because they just tend to be hard for me to use. I'm glad I did today!

I created my sentiment with the Inspired: Savior stamps and dies, then used some of the vines and florals from Paper Clippings: Happy Day to embellish. The Happy Day die-cut was done in white, then colored with ink blending foam in shades of purple. The addition flower die-cuts that are popped up on the vines were stamped.

I framed everything with Erin's Cover Plate: Scroll Frame, gently pulling that thin outside edge forward for some dimension. The three crosses are from last year's Easter Alleluias set.

On the inside, I stamped a simple Easter Blessings sentiment from Keep It Simple: Easter, along with some of the stamped floral imagery from Paper Clippings: Happy Day.

And my deed is done with purple for at least another year! Just kidding!!

Stamps: Inspired: Savior; Paper Clippings: Happy Day; Keep It Simple: Easter; Easter Alleluias

Dies: Cover Plate: Scroll Frame; Inspired: Savior; Paper Clippings: Oh Happy Day

Ink: Lavender Moon, Winter Wisteria, Plum Pudding

Paper: Stamper's Select White card stock; Fresh Snow Linen card stock, Soft Stone Stripe patterned paper

Other: ink blending foam, sponge daubers, clear sequins, foam adhesive, liquid glue

Thanks so much for visiting, and for your sweet comments. It's always a blessing to hear from you!

As much as I love purple (it's my favorite color) I don't often work with it, either. This card is stunning!!! You have made purple shine. :) Love it!!

Just beautiful, Amy! Purple is not my favorite to work with, but you've given me hope! Love how you used the grey stripe in the frame. And your ombre is gorgeous!

Purple denotes royalty, and that is for the King of Kings,Jesus, our Savior. So appropriate, Amy. You did an excellent job; a lovely Easter card!
