Reverse Confetti July Release Blog Hop

Hi friends! Welcome to Reverse Confetti's new release blog hop! We're excited to give you one more fanfare of release projects. (I've saved lots of projects to share today!)

If you arrived here from Amy Tsuruta, you're on track. If not, and you'd like to start from the beginning, please visit the Reverse Confetti blog. When you're finished here, you'll be heading over to Leigh Penner (I'll link to her again at the end).

My first card (my favorite from this release), actually uses leftovers from this card that I posted yesterday. The watercolor background on today's card didn't quite work for yesterday's card. It was a little too small for the full Globe Confetti Cuts die-cut, so I painted a new one for yesterday's card and came up with a slightly different design for this background, using just the heart-in-a-circle portion of the Globe die-cut.

Three die-cuts are stacked for some added thickness. Behind the heart circle is a vellum circle (cut with the larger circle die in the previously released Donut You Know Confetti Cuts die set). The word "LOVE" is from the previously released Heart to Heart stamp set, and is heat embossed in white.

I tied some metallic silver embroidery thread on to both sides of the die-cut and accented with clusters of clear sequins.

PAPER: watercolor paper, white card stock
OTHER: vellum, white embossing powder, metallic silver embroidery floss, clear sequins, foam adhesive

Next up is a colorful star card featuring several different images from You Are A Star. For the large star, I used the same image over and over in rainbow colors, then accented with two smaller stars in a light gray ink. Last, I added some black starbursts randomly throughout.

This one was so close to being a one-layer card, until I went and added the popped up yellow star!

PAPER: white card stock

My next two cards are smaller in size -- just a bit larger than the Weather Or Dot {and Stripes} Quick Card Panels (which are 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"). This particular QCP reminded me of party hats, so I made a birthday card with it.

I stamped the sentiment, from Later Alligator, in white Staz-On onto a cloud transparency, which I layered over the Quick Card Panel, stitching along the top to adhere. The alligator and the birthday cake were stamped, colored with Copics, and die-cut using the Later Alligator stamps and Later Alligator Confetti Cuts dies.

The partial woodgrain circle is from the new Woodgrain Panel, which I absolutely adore. (I honestly can't believe this is its first appearance in my projects!) The woodgrain panel is a rounded rectangle, a bit smaller than the Quick Card Panels -- I just die-cut a partial circle out of a panel to use on this card. (I love that you use this die to add a subtle woodgrain embossing to your smaller die-cuts, too. Die-cut as usual, then use the Woodgrain Panel to emboss. Just make sure the die-cut fits inside the Woodgrain Panel rectangle.)

I added some clouds and a sun, both stamped with Weather it Together, colored with Copics (sun only), and die-cut with the Weather It Together Confetti Cuts dies. Along the bottom is a touch of golden yellow with the Wonky Double Edge Scallop Border die-cut.

PAPER: white and golden yellow card stock, Weather Or Dot {and Stripes} Quick Card Panels
OTHER: cloud transparency, sewing machine, Copic markers, black and white baker's twine

Last up for today, another card featuring one of the new Weather Or Dot {and Stripes} Quick Card Panels. I splattered the panel with some Heidi Swapp Gold mist, added a couple of light gray Triple Chevies die-cuts, then topped with some gold embossed stars from You Are A Star.

Here's a better look at the shine from all that gold.

That's it -- thanks for sticking with me!

Now it's time to hop over to Leigh Penner.

Enjoy today's hop!

Amazing set of cards Amy. Especially love the first one with the silver thread holding the circle element... pretty sequins too. The stars are so pretty, especially heat embossed in gold.

Great card set, Amy! I love the first one most too, and the crocodile one as it resembles me the "earlier Amy" style ;) I've always loved your coloured images :)
