How about a fun, weather-themed birthday card for today? Papertrey's new So Striking set, designed by Maile Belles, is super fun and trendy. I've had so much fun playing with it!
There's perhaps more going on than meets the eye, so I'll point out some of the details:
- Spring Rain background is stamped with white clouds
- Vellum overlay is stamped with falling rain in white and tiny droplet trios in VersaMark
- Clouds and lightning are positioned, then machine stitched onto the vellum and Spring Rain layers, with long thread tails left hanging
- Several layers of the striking die-cut are stacked for extra dimension

This is so pretty!! I love the way you cluster in the center with the stitching and all the layered elements. I also like how you layered the vellum over the paper that you stamped the white clouds. Really great design.
