Calling All Bibliophiles

Welcome to the second group post for Papertrey Ink's July release. Today's post is all about something near and dear to my very soul: books. I am every single bit the bibliophile. I love to look at books, touch them, smell them (I know some of you are with me there, right?), collect them, and read them, too, of course. And now I can stamp books to my heart's content. How fun to combine two of the things I love most -- books and stamps.

Today the Papertrey designers are featuring two product groups: Bibliophile stamps and dies, plus the Fancy Bookends dies and Fancy Teacup die; and the Book Cover Card dies and Book Cover Details stamps.

Remember, all of the new products will be available in the Papertrey Ink store on July 15 at 10 pm. Be sure to visit Nichole's blog today for product details, giveaway info, and inspiration.

My first project features the Bibliophile stamps and dies, designed by Erin Lincoln, as well as one of the Fancy Bookends dies. Her concept is so clever! The Bibliophile die set includes several different sizes of books, as well as many different accent pieces. Use the Bibliophile stamps to add either book titles (based on author quotes) or book- and reading-themed sentiments. Seriously, I could not love this set more! For today's project, I picked out some of my favorite quotes to use as book titles. They are so "me" and just make me nod my head and smile. Sleep can*always* wait when there's a good book to finish!

The "thinking of you" sentiment above the books is from Dawn McVey's new Perfect Pairing stamp set. I can see Perfect Pairing quickly becoming a go-to set. The sentiment pairings cover nearly any occasion you can imagine.

Avid readers need bookmarks, too, right? I added one here using one of the Tiny Tags die-cuts. The "XOXO" is from the Swoosh stamp set.

Next up is another super clever concept, a die that cuts a book-shaped card. This was by customer request based on this clever and creative card that Nichole designed a while back. The Book Cover Card die set includes everything you could think of -- the book itself, the rectangular frame that fits the front, a library pocket, a strip that looks like pages peeking out from the top, and three script sentiments. The corner adornment and sentiments are stamps in the Book Cover Details stamp set. I added some flowers from the previously released Brushed Blooms set.

On the spine, I stamped some details: the lines are all from Plaid Builder and the tiny arrows are from last month's Stacked Sentiments stamp set. I also cut a length of Scarlet Jewel satin ribbon to look like a bound ribbon bookmark.

On the inside, I added the library pocket die-cut to hold a gift card or cash (adhered with Scor-Tape on the sides and bottom), another Brushed Blooms arrangement, two sentiments from Book Cover Details  and the flourish, also from Book Cover Details

Thank you so much for saying how you love the feel and even the smell of books...I can still remember getting my first Scholastic book order in elementary school and running my hands through the pages and that wonderful smell of a brand new book! Yes, books are very near and dear to my heart too, and I'm just loving these new stamps and dies!! And both your cards are just beautiful Amy...thank you for the inspiration!! :0)
