I went with a very straightforward sample this week. The sentiment is Verve's One Day Plain Jane. (Plain Janes are Verve's very affordable line of stamp singles. Cheaper than a latte, and lasts a whole lot longer!). I stamped onto a Spellbinders Classic Square die-cut and layered over a Labels Sixteen die-cut. Before removing the die, I sponged on a little Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Antique Linen) to age it a bit. Other details include some thick gold hemp, an open scallop border (MFT), distressing, stitching, and a pair of buttons (also ancient, by Stampin' Up).
I'm pretty sure this focus on using up old stuff will fly out the window as soon as some of the new summer CHA goodies hit my mailbox (crossing my fingers for today!). What are you most anxiously awaiting?
Also, any Girl Scout moms out there with a cute idea for a summer day camp swap? My daughter has a flip-flop idea in the works, but we're all ears to other ideas -- thanks!

Ohh -LOVE the papers, your card is gorgeous! We did a "Survivor" themed day camp one year & had the girls broken into "tribes" and had different trials they had to do - it was a blast!
Love the card, Amy! Great idea to use up old goodies too.
You could to an Amazing Race type of theme too. Not sure how old your daughter is but could be a scavenger hunt with the final thing being their "swap prize".
it's so great, that i can't express how much!
Beautiful card! I love all your attention to detail. I'm the same way when it comes to items in my stash. If they somehow came loose from packaging its pretty well assured that I can't remember their origins :)
I tried the whole "using up my old stuff" thing and I think I got to about two weeks, saw some new papers and that was it... All in all I think I didn't do too bad..LOL! Your card is stunning Amy! I love the bright bold and cheerful colours and that sentiment is just perfect... I am really going to have to check them out!! Xx

Very pretty. Love the colors and the sketch. TFS
Your card is adorable. Love how you distressed the papers.
The SEO you do this week may surge you to rankings heaven, but depending on what your competitors are doing, and what others are posting and looking for, you may sink next month.

What a fabulous "summery" card, gorgeous colours and die-cut shapes that set it off perfectly, as usual, Amy!
