Congrats!

Three days.

That's how long it takes for black Copic marker to come off a toddler's cheek.

In case you ever need to know :)

By the way, you should have seen the size of my 5yo daughter's eyes when I said, "Here, let's try this," and began to color her brother's face with the colorless blender. (Didn't work.)

Over the weekend, I finally got a chance to ink up Verve's adorable new Bunny Duet image. Aren't these bunnies just precious?! I stamped them on Papertrey White in Memento Rich Cocoa ink, then colored with a combination of Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. Their bellies are paper pieced, and the bow and bowtie are popped up. The patterned papers are from the Poppyfinch collection by Memory Box. Sentiment is from Practically Perfect.

My beloved Marth Stewart lace border punch bit the dust recently, and maybe it was time. I wasn't sick of it, but I had begun to consider each time I used it whether you might be getting sick of my using it. So I wasn't exactly heartbroken when both of my local craft stores were out of that one. But those were some big shoes to fill to be certain -- it took two Fiskars border punches and this EK Success dotted wave punch to fill the void {giggle}. I really like the look of the staggered purple border peeking out from behind the punched dp. Kinda reminds me of a length of twisted ribbon. I echoed the same look on the inside:

If you haven't been to the Verve blog recently, you may want to tune in to this month's Eggstra Special Spring Project Parade. The fun began last Wednesday and continues into early April. As always, play along with us for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Verve store. Go HERE to link up your creation. This month, we're adding a fun, new chance to win free stamps. We'll be picking random commenters over the course of the parade who will win their choice of any Verve stamp set. We're not telling when we're drawing the names, so visit (and comment) often!

Happy crafting!

Oh this card is gorgeous! I love the colors you chose and the wavy border is excellent!

And thanks for the skin/Copic issue...because although they haven't done it yet...my boys are 3and 5...you know they will. And that is just too funny that you tried the blender pen...lol!

HAHAHAHAHA...awwww sorry to hear about the copic marker fiasco! At least now we know what the wait time is - and ROFLMAO about coloring his face in with a blender pen! What a hoot! I wonder if Tim Holtz's alcohol blending solution would have fared better...I usually use the soluting to get alcohol ink off my hands if I've gotten too messy. Fab on skin, doesn't work as great on getting ink off of hardwood floors though!

Fabulous work as always, Amy!

Amy, I just finished the Copics certification class today and I have something to share with you...Purell hand sanitizer is 67% alcohol based and is perfect for cleaning your skin if you get Copic markers on them. I was thrilled for this piece of information because I've gone longer than three days before!

So funny about the Copic on the cheek, not funny about your punch dying. I'm so sorry. When's the funeral? I loooooove how you staggered the waves.....& I just happen to have this punch....so I may have to blatantly copy that move :)

Great card, Amy! I love the pieced bellies and your layered, punched border is awesome! The marker on the cheek made me laugh--they sure can keep you on your toes, but believe me they grow up way too fast! Before you know it they're married and on their own--the bonus is when they give you grandkids! You get to spoil them and send them home!

Well, BUMMER that the colorless blender doesn't work on skin, LOL! I just got this EK Success wavy dot punch recently too and I LOVE it. I'm going to have to try the double layer thing like you did...that looks GREAT!! It does look like twisted ribbon.
