The first Saturday of the month brings us a brand-new Sketch For You To Try, along with a fabulous new sponsor, There She Goes.

I fell in love with the adorable Every Child set that There She Goes recently released. The images are so cute, and the sentiments so touching. I split one of the sentiments and used half on the card front and the other half on the inside (still in progress -- I'll share it here in a jiffy). The full sentiment reads: "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." So true!
Coloring is with Copics. The papers are Echo Park's This & That Graceful 6x6 collection. For accents, I used some green buttons, a white crochet flower, machine stitching, burlap string, and white lace trim. To give the green paint on the paintbrush some shine, I coated it with clear glossy glaze.
