Quick & Easy Souper Celebration Birthday Cards

Happy Birthday | Make A Wish

That last-minute, the-birthday-party-starts-in-half-an-hour-and-I-still-need-a-card card? I don't know about you (I tend to be a procrastinator), but I need those all. the. time! Here are a few quick ones that I created using mostly Jillibean Soup's Souper Celebration collection.

This first one? Seriously, so easy. The row of colorful candles is a pre-printed 4x6 card from Souper Celebration's Bite-Size Bits (one of the patterns in the collection that is basically a mix of journaling cards).

I topped those candle flames with large sequins to match the candle colors ...

... added the "make a wish" sticker (and accented with wood veneer stars. Optional detail (still super quick) was to add the row of holes along the top and bottom, which I did with one of Reverse Confetti's Edge Essentials dies.

So quick -- insane!

Supplies:
Jillibean Soup
Patterned Paper:  Souper Celebration/Bite Size Bits
Pea Pod Parts:  Souper Celebration
Wood Veneers:  Souper Celebration
Adhesive Sequins:  Teal Plum, Navy Blueberry, Green Apple, Pink Grapefruit, Red Raspberry, Orange Tangerine

Other:  kraft cardstock, foam adhesive.

Happy Happy Happy Birthday To You

This next one also features a journaling card from the Souper Celebration Bite Size Bits paper. I placed it on straightforward background of Souper Celebration patterns ...

... then added the alligator sticker and a wood veneer crown. Easy, am I right?!

Supplies:
Jillibean Soup
Patterned Paper:  Souper Celebration/Cup of Ceremony, Gallon of Gala, Bowl of Bash, Bite Size Bits
Coordinating Stickers:  Souper Celebration
Wood Veneers:  Souper Celebration

Other:  kraft cardstock, foam adhesive.

CAS Happy Birthday

And last is one that features some Souper Celebration Pea Pod Parts (candles and sentiment banner diecuts), a wavy banner that I die-cut from patterned paper, and a sequin trio.

I love the crisp, clean all-white background. I used a stitched rectangle die to get that nice finished edge, then popped the whole panel up on the card base using a layer of fun foam.

Pea Pod Parts:  Souper Celebration
Adhesive Sequins:  Navy Blueberry

Other:  white cardstock, stitched rectangle die, foam adhesive, wavy banner die.

All of these cards appeared on the Jillibean Soup blog last month. Be sure to look for the "Cards on Monday" and "Cards on Tuesday" features for lots more card inspiration!
