Today's Papertrey December release countdown features the newest (and cutest, IMHO) set in the Petite Places line -- Barnyard. Let's have a collective "ooh" and "ahhh" because this is soooo stinking' adorable! (And then we can sit in a big circle crisscross applesauce and sing "Old MacDonald"!)
Petite Places: Barnyard, along with all of the other December release products, will be available for purchase at 10 pm EST on December 15 in the Papertrey Ink store.
I just can't get over the level of detail Betsy packs into her Petite Places series. Barnyard has a barn with working doors and loft window, several different animals (of course), as well as fencing, hay, a tractor, windmill, and silo.
The scene elements are all adhered to a Simply Chartreuse Scene It: Basic Backer die-cut.
I painted some liquid glue onto the backer and sprinkled in some Terra Textures wood flakes to help hide the folded parts of the pop-up elements. After putting the scene together, I glued on a Clear Tag Dome/Ornament.
The finished dome is adhered to a mason jar lid. Around the lid is a band of Pure Poppy Stripe patterned paper along with a simple triple-wrapped length of jute for a rustic touch.
I apologize for the loose roof. I must have fiddled too long on assembly such that the liquid glue dried a little. It popped loose after I had already adhered the dome to the backer.
I love how the cute little tag turned out! I die-cut the tag shape from the Halloween Pin-Ups die set, then stamped a sentiment from Barnyard Sentiments. Next, I added the red checkerboard, which is part of the silo/ladder detail stamp in Petite Places: Barnyard. The sun rays and grassy hills were stamped with images from the previously released set On the Farm.
I couldn't resist filling the jar with animal crackers, because, well ... because! (When else could you ever gift animal crackers?)
Stamps: Petite Places: Barnyard, Barnyard Sentiments, On the Farm

New Leaf, Soft Stone, Stormy Sea, Classic Kraft

Hi Amy,

Petite places are always so cute. I love the animal crackers too!
Oh Amy your project is over-the-top adorable- so well done!!
What a sweet scene Amy. Love the colors, the arrangement... just perfect. I have couple of the petite scenes, but I am having a hard time getting the card stock out of the dies. Can you tell me how do you do it? I've tried wax, parchment paper, drier sheet... nothing seems to work with the nativity set... buzsy@yahoo.com
