Color Outside the Lines

I love how watercoloring is all trendy again with card-makers, and was especially inspired by the intensity of color on this card by Kristina Werner. To get this look, I wet the watercolor paper first then added a few drops of different re-inkers. After the paper had dried a bit, I used a straw to blow some of the excess ink around for the splatter look. I'm not the most patient person in the world, so I had to just walk away entirely to let the paper and ink fully dry before adding the white embossed sentiment from Reverse Confetti's DREAM IN COLOR stamp set.

I hesitate to show the detail shot because color isn't the only thing outside the lines. See all that stray white embossing, despite my best efforts to clean up the powder before embossing? Oh, well ...

I'm linking this up to the current CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #71. Fun sketch!

Love this Amy. The white embossed sentiment on those bold colours really make this card rich with depth! Love the sentiment!
