Sweet(tea}

I love this darling image, Clementine the Teapot Girl, available at Stamping Bella, sponsor of this month's Sketch For You To Try. I adore anything with a teapot; add that sweet little girl with her precious pigtails and I'm a goner! Clementine is colored with Copic markers to coordinate with the Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe papers I chose. The letters on the sentiment banner were stamped with some old mini foam stamps from my stash. The layout is this month's Sketch For You To Try ...

To play along, just use the sketch, upload to your blog or an online gallery, and link up to Jen's June SFYTT post before the end of the month! Looking forward to checking out all the beautiful entries!

Here's a closer look at the coloring. I really need some help with pinks -- they never seem to come out quite like I want!

Keeping it short today ... fighting off some kind of bug (thinking maybe my youngest gifted me with his strep throat -- thanks, buddy!) and trying to deal with the bomb known as Last Day of School that went off in my house yesterday afternoon. How about you ladies? If you have schoool-age kids, are they out now? Anyone in a school district with year-round school?

Love to all!

Fabulous as always, Amy. No issue with you pink colouring from here. Adorable image and great use of Jen's sketch.

I have another 1.5 weeks before the kids are out, but already missing my regular stamping time LOL! Love having them all to myself though and think I have enough planned to keep us busy along with some lazy jammie days thrown in :)

Super card. You did an awesome job with the pink. I am going to have to try the banner idea. Drink lots of water, rest and send the kids outside to play.

Sweet, this sure is. It's knock your socks off sweet! OMG I am so loving the pink coloring. I only "saw" this as teal in my mind so it's refreshing to see your softer shading. And your distressing adds such a shabby chic feel - LOVE it! You're always so inspiring!

What a great card! I only wish I could color like that :) No school age kids yet, my daughter starts kindergarten in the fall. I work for a school district and that "bomb" goes off for us next week! If you talk to the classroom teachers, they will say that there are many little explosions going on now.
