Friends Give Color to Our Lives

I'm especially excited to share my Sketch For You To Try card today because this week's SFYTT is being sponsored by one of my favorite stamp companies -- Skipping Stones Design! What does that mean for you? Well ...... one lucky sketch participant will win two unreleased SSD sets. One is a humorous chocolate set and, get this .... the other is a Twilight set! Woohoo!! (I think Jodi actually passed out when she heard that.) All you have to do to be eligible to win is complete a project using this week's sketch, then link it to today's post on Jen's blog using the linking widget. Deadline is noon Friday, June 18. The winner will be announced Saturday, 6/19.

Here's what you're playing with this week:

For my take, I used my favorite Skipping Stones Design set, Healing Wings, to create a friendship card. In keeping with the sentiment, "Friends give color to our lives," I pulled out my mostest colorfulest paper pack, Cosmo Cricket's DeLovely Mini Deck. I repeat: love this stuff! The butterfly is stamped on one of the yellow patterns, clear embossed and trimmed out. The scrunched ribbon treatment is inspired by Heather and Ashley. It's easy -- try it if you haven't already! Ashley has a tutorial here.

I'm off to two farmer's markets and a baseball game this morning, then hopefully an afternoon of stamping before heading out to a movie tonight. Weekend stamping is a rarity these days - I'm going to treasure every minute of it! Have a great weekend!

Yes you have a weekend moved and fun. I would love to participate, I'll read it to see if the bases once participated in one of the challenger (I think that's her name) to wear.
When you view your card, it gets so complex that I wonder what role can I do?, But ever will be.
Your card great as ever and perfectly, no one point out of place, is fantastic.
Besitos.

Ah, another beautiful take on the SFYTT sketch - I love how you stick to the sketch and yet create a unique card! And this butterfly looks so realistic (though, I guess, there aren't dotted butterflies, LOL) as if it was about to fly away! :-)
