With my two left feet (technically speaking), I'm venturing into blogland, hoping to share my love of all things crafty, particularly anything involving paper and stamps. Bear with me as I figure all this out!
Just a little bit about me. I've been artsy/crafty most of my life, dabbling in pretty much everything from knitting to watercolor, intaglio printmaking (college) to sewing. Almost a decade ago, I was first introduced to scrapbooking by a wonderful friend and neighbor (hi Christie!). I thought it was just about the the coolest thing I'd ever seen.
Five years later, Christie (again!) came waltzing into The Little Gym, where our boys were taking a class together, waving this little greeting card and saying "I MADE this!" "What? No way! How?" I asked. And that little exchange was the beginning of my current obsession with rubber stamping.
Christie had a Stampin' Up party a few weeks later. It took me three hours to narrow down the catalog to a not-even-close-to-reasonable order. I would probably feel bad for that demonstrator (hi Sue!) for putting up with me that night, except that I ended up being a pretty good customer for about a year, and then signed up as a demonstrator in her group! Still lovin' it four years later :)
