I'm on Confetti Camera!

It's Confetti Camera day over on the Reverse Confetti blog! Confetti Camera is the weekly feature where we shine the spotlight on one of the Confetti Crew designers and offer a glimpse into her creative process through a project created just for that day.

Reverse Confetti January Release Hop

It’s a new year, and what could be better than to start it off with a brand new shiny release from REVERSE CONFETTI?!  Love is definitely in the air with the six new stamp sets (including our new QuirkyCuties line) and 3 new Confetti Cuts Dies.  We invite you to hop along with the Confetti Crew, Challenge Crew, and a few other friends today as we share our cards and projects using the new products.  We think you’ll fall in love over and over with this release!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Angelica Suarez’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets!

I am smitten with the new PAPER CRANE set! For this piece of home decor, I stamped the crane a bunch of times on different patterned papers, trimmed them out, and arranged them, grid-style, against a white backdrop. To give them some dimension , I scored some of the lines, folding some forward and some back. I should mention that for now, they are attached with foam tape to the outside of a standard picture frame (otherwise they'd get smooched behind the glass). A shadow box would be preferred, but I didn't have one of those on hand, and they do look suspended in air this way. Along the bottom, I stamped a delicate border in green. The sentiment, "grow wings, not roots," is stamped on a wood banner flag and also adhered to the front of the picture glass.

Countdown To Confetti: Crushin'

It's the third and final day of Reverse Confetti's Countdown to Confetti. Don't you just love this release so far? You're about to love it even more, thanks to today's featured set: CRUSHIN'!

For today's dproject, I combined a bunch of the new goodies, along with some lovely Crate papers The main panel was die-cut with the new LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts set. I stamped it with two images from CRUSHIN' and heart border from WHOLE LOTTA HEARTS. The green panel in the background was die-cut with the previously released SWEET TREAT TENT die. The embellishment cluster is made up of a corrugated heart (LOVE NOTE) and the new ARROW Confetti Cuts die-cut.

Countdown to Confetti: Go Together & Sweet Thing

Ready for Day Two of Reverse Confetti's release countdown? Today's featured sets are GO TOGETHER and SWEET THING, both part of the Key Words collection. Remember to visit the Reverse Confetti blog for a full list of Confetti Crew designers posting today.

The card above features GO TOGETHER. LOTS of great sentiment possibilities with this set! I cut a heart puzzle on my Silhouette to go with a sweet and simple "we go together" sentiment. It's kind of funny, I can't help but think of how, when I was in middle school, the boys and girls would "go together." The kids don't still say that, do they? I'm guessing now it's "seeing each other"? With a 13-year-old now, I'm sure I'll find out sooner than I'd like!

The cardboard couple is holding a string of hearts that I die-cut with the new LOVE NOTE Confetti Cuts set. Along the bottom is a double layer of the SCALLOP BORDER Confetti Cuts. Behind the word "together" is a stamped heart border from WHOLE LOTTA HEARTS.

Here's a closer look at the stamped sentiment:

My next little project features SWEET THING:

Super quick project here--a Target dollar spot pillow box embellished with clear sequins, red felt hearts and a pair of tags tied on with baker's twine. The word "sweet" is stamped in metallic silver.

Countdown to Confetti: Freida Fox & Paper Crane

Another fabulous Reverse Confetti release is just days away (our release are on the 8th of every other month), so for the next few days, we'll be strutting our {paper crafting] stuff as we Countdown to Confetti!

We're featuring two sets today: FREIDA FOX (we've added a new illustrator) and PAPER CRANE. This release also has three new CONFETTI CUTS (dies/die sets), which you'll see throughout the countdown. A full list of Confetti Crew designers posting today is posted over on the Reverse Confetti blog. You won't want to miss a thing!

First up is FREIDA FOX:

She's the first in a new line of stamps called Quirky Cuties. Isn't she darling?! As excited as I am to see Reverse Confetti add some line art for coloring, I was feeling a bit rusty with my coloring and decided to try something a little different. I  stamped on black chalkboard-design paper, then paper pieced just the scarf and heart for some color. The nerdy glasses are a separate stamp. I wasn't sure how they'd look stamped in white, but I just had to add them anyway ... along with the My Mind's Eye eyeglasses pattern as well. Too fun!

Next up is PAPER CRANE (this one has really tugged at my heartstrings!):

I wasn't all that familiar with the meaning/tradition/symbolism around origami paper cranes. If you're not, I highly recommend a quick google search, especially Thousand Origami Cranes. The paper crane image is so dainty and elegant, and the sentiments in this set are fantastic. The vertical scallop strips were cut with the new Double Edge Scallop Border Confetti Cuts.
