July Sketch For You To Try

There's still time to play along with the Reverse Confetti's July Sketch For You To Try! Check out today's post on the Reverse Confetti blog for a fresh new batch of sketch inspiration from the design team. Link YOUR creations HERE!

The challenge closes at noon CST on the 14th. Hope you'll join us!!

Here's the sketch:

For my take, I combined some various dies to create my tag focal point. In the back is the new TAG ME, TOO tag with its darling scalloped grommet/reinforcer circle. The coral piece was die-cut with the new PRETTY PANELS CHEVRON die (without removing the cut-outs). In front of that are two cuts of the largest paisley from PERFECTLY PAISLEY. Last is the "for you" sentiment (part of TAG ME, TOO) and the flower cluster, which was done with PETALS 'N POSIES stamps and their coordinating PETALS 'N POSIES CONFETTI CUTS dies.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

REVERSE CONFETTI STAMPS: Petals 'n Posies (on the leaf sprigs)
REVERSE CONFETTI CONFETTI CUTS DIES: Tag Me, Too, Perfectly Paisley, Pretty Panels Chevron, Petals 'n Posies
PAPER: white, melon, dark gray and light gray card stock; Teresa Collins Something Wonderful 6x6 collection; vellum card stock

Reverse Confetti July Release Blog Hop

We hope you all agree that this month’s release from REVERSE CONFETTI is hot, hot hot! We changed things up a bit this month and brought you more dies than ever before, but still quenched your thirst for those fun Quirky Cuties with Rocky Raccoon and introduced what’s sure to be a new favorite, Fabulous Flamingo, just to name a couple of the new stamp sets (there are 4—along with 7 Confetti Cuts Die sets). Today, we are making a final splash with all the new products, and bringing you our Reverse Confetti new release blog hop. You’ll have it made in the shade once you see all the fun you can have with this release!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Leigh Penner's blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets and dies!

One of the new products that I personally haven't featured yet is the awesome PERFECTLY PAISLEY CONFETTI CUTS die set. Oh my, the possibilities! Inspiration for my card was this lovely, sweet painting by Pam Coxwell that I stumbled upon during my internet wanderings.

I watercolored a blue and green background, then die-cut the paisley layers, adhered and added the doodling with a black pen. The grass blades were added with Prismacolors, and the sentiment is from FABULOUS FLAMINGO.

Here's a closer look (but please forgive my slip of the pen near the beak on the big bird!):

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to Sarah Gough’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog.
A few things before you hop along though, just to keep you “in the know”…
  • July’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY is open for you to play along.  Click HERE for a chance to win.
  • Be on the lookout for a NEW COLOR challenge we will be introducing on July 16 and another way to win!

Celebrate the creative side of you!

Countdown to Confetti: Fabulous Flamingo and Fresh 'n Fruity

It's Day Three of Reverse Confetti's Countdown to Confetti, and we're featuring two more stamp sets, FABULOUS FLAMINGO and FRESH 'N FRUITY. I'm sure by now you've seen most of the SEVEN new CONFETTI CUTS that will be releasing tomorrow, too!

Remember to tune in to the Reverse Confetti blog for a list of all designers posting today. Leave comments along the way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate. Visit the Reverse Confetti Facebook page for a chance to win another $15 gift certificate!

I have two cards to share today. First up is a one-layer card (yes, from ME! I did it!!) featuring FABULOUS FLAMINGO. I used Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #125. I stamped the flamingos in a cantaloupe ink, added wings in white (stamped off once, though), sponged on some aqua ink for water, and flicked in some grass with some green Copics. I masked the flamingos before adding the ink splatters. Last, I cut apart the sentiment so that I could stagger it around the flamingo pair. Rhinestones and sequins for sparkle ...

Here's the sketch:

The next card features FRESH 'N FRUITY. I combined a bunch of die-cuts for the tag: TAG ME TOO, PRETTY PANELS DIAGONAL STRIPE, LABEL ME, and FRESH 'N FRUITY. Ink splatters and some kind of sparkle seem to be my go-to accents...

A closer look:

Remember to visit the Reverse Confetti blog for more FABULOUS FLAMINGO and FRESH 'N FRUITY inspiration! Thanks for joining me here today!
