Shadow Box Birdie

I recently joined a swap group (thanks Jackie Pedro for helping me get hooked up and Becky Carafa for letting me in!). I haven't swapped in eons, so I was excited to sign up for my first one, a Fancy Folds swap. I chose to do a shadow box card (link takes you to an SCS tutorial). For the swap, I omitted the vellum layer and the metal-edge tag. I like the look of the tag on there, but the assembly was a bit too problematic to repeat twelve times. Other than that, this is my swap! If you've been with me for a while, this card might look familiar. It's pretty much a CASE of this card I did a while back. I can't wait to see what I get back from this group of fabulous stampers!

Stamps: A Little Birdie Told Me
Paper: Soft Sky, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery prints, Afternoon Tea designer paper, watercolor paper, vellum card stock
Ink: Jet Black Staz-On, Certainly Celery and So Saffron reinkers
Accessories: So Saffron brads, small oval punch, circle cutter, dimensionals, aqua painter, wide chocolate grosgrain ribbon, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black markers, silver metal-rim tag
All supplies by Stampin' Up!

  7. Beautiful Amy! I love the colours and that tag is awesome. I'm guessing you cut out the paper insert in the tag ... that would be a ton of work for a swap, but it is a great addition. Fabulous!!

  20. OH boy, I knew I should've switched to some other fancy fold when you said you were doing a shadowbox card. Wow, I though I did a lot of cutting- I can't believe you did all that 12 times! It is just lovely though, the birds are so sweet. I love that the window isn't the entire focal point! (I'll just cross my fingers it isn't next to mine in the bundle- LOL).
