Countdown to Confetti: Winter Words & Winter Word Coordinates

Welcome to Day One of Reverse Confetti's Countdown to the October release.

The October release includes three new stamp sets, six new Confetti Cuts dies/die sets, and two new products: frosted pillow boxes and solid twine in sixteen beautiful colors!
The October release will be available in the Reverse Confetti store at midnight on October 8.

Be sure to visit the Reverse Confetti blog for links to all the designers posting peeks today. Leave comments on each designer's blog for a chance to win a $15 Reverse Confetti gift certificate. Also, head over to the Reverse Confetti Facebook page for another $15 giveaway.

Today we are featuring a new stamp and die pair: Winter Words Confetti Cuts dies and Winter Word Coordinates stamps. This pair is similar to Fancy Words and Fancy Word Coordinates, which I have loved and use A LOT. The sentiments are a bit bigger this time, and the letters of the word die-cuts are all connected this time (some of the Fancy Words dies cut in multiple pieces due to the font), which makes using the word die-cuts even easier.

I love the combination of the word die-cuts, plus the coordinating stamped sentiments. They are small enough to tuck in as a supporting design element but big enough to feature more prominently, too. Today, I've combined the "peace on earth" sentiment with the new Wreath Confetti Cuts die.

I kept the design very simple with an offset felt Wreath die-cut (with the individual leaf cut-outs still in place) topped with a vellum Wreath die-cut and accented with ivory enamel dots. The Winter Words and Winter Word Coordinates sentiment are layered on top. Finishing touches are three red enamel dots and a machine stitched torn vellum border.

STAMPS: Winter Word Coordinates

CONFETTI CUTS DIES: Winter Words, Wreath

INK: VersaMark

PAPER: PTI Smokey Shadow card stock and Soft Stone Stripe patterned paper, vellum card stock

OTHER: sewing machine, white thread, enamel dots, white embossing powder
