Introducing Petite Places: Sweet Shoppe

I'm thrilled today to be helping to introduce the newest stamp and die combo in Papertrey's popular Petite Places line: Sweet Shoppe. I didn't think these little buildings could get any cuter, but yes, they can! The name of the shop, right there above the awning, can be customized with candy shoppe, sweet shoppe, bakery, or ice cream. I mean seriously, how daring is this?!

Before I get started, just a reminder that all of the new products and dies featured this week will be available in the Papertrey Ink store March 15 beginning at 10 pm.

I can't resist a cute scene, so I pulled out the Scene It: Skyscapes die set, the Scene It: Everyday die set, the Petite Places: Pop Up Trees die, and the Basic Backer die and got to work layering elements. After the background scene was added, I stamped and assembled the Sweet Shoppe building front, complete with striped awning and a turquoise bicycle, and placed them into the scene.

I love how the sentiment fits perfectly in one of the cloud cut-outs.

I placed the whole thing onto a doily and gathered up some tulle and a length of ribbon at the top and bottom. I was going for a wrapped candy look, the kind where the cellophane wrap is just twisted at both ends.

The Lemon Tart and Limeade Ice background combo is so bright and cheery that it got me into party mode.

Check out this party place setting. Wouldn't it be perfect for a sweet shoppe-themed party?

I die-cut the shop out of white card stock, stamped in Soft Stone, Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, and True Black, then assembled and placed on a Soft Stone Basic Backer die-cut.

I added one pop-up tree and coated it in glass glitter for a "sugared" look. The little candies under the dome are a Wilton cupcake topping.

For some pops of color, I wrapped some turquoise twine around the base, and used it to tie on a sentiment tag that I die-cut with Tiny Tags die and stamped with the Tiny Tags II stamp set. Behind that is a large Hibiscus Burst circle die-cut and then a paper doily.

Here's a better look at the whole place setting (pretend the napkin is all fancy-folded to hold the utensils {wink}):

That's it for me today! Is your mouth watering yet?!

Check out what the rest of the team has for you today:
