Countdown to Confetti: Love Blooms

Welcome to Day Three of Reverse Confetti's Countdown to Confetti! Today we're featuring two new sets, LOVE BLOOMS and SUGARY SWEET SENTIMENTS, along with corresponding LOVE BLOOMS Confetti Cuts dies.

Visit the Reverse Confetti blog for a full list of peeks. Leave comments on each blog for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate. Then, head over to the Reverse Confetti Facebook page and leave a comment there for a chance to win another $15 gift certificate. Good luck!

My first project is a sweet, clean and simple card using the LOVE BLOOMS stamp set and the corresponding LOVE BLOOMS Confetti Cuts dies. To start, I cut a heart out of a piece of card stock using my Silhouette. I used the negative as a mask and sponged on blue and green inks.

The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black into the center of the sponged heart.

The flowers are stamped in Worn Lipstick Distress ink and the leaves are stamped in Mowed Lawn, then cut with the LOVE BLOOMS dies. I added some depth to the petals and leaves using Copic markers. I selected a few darker color markers and added the shading using a flicking stroke with the brush tip of the marker.

Finishing touches include baker's twine, a woodgrain scallop border along the bottom, and some clear sequins.

STAMPS: LOVE BLOOMS

DIES: LOVE BLOOMSDOUBLE EDGE SCALLOP BORDER

INK: Versafine Onyx Black, Mowed Lawn, Broken China, and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink

PAPER: white card stock,  My Mind's Eye woodgrain 6x6 paper

OTHER: twine, blending tool, Copic markers, clear sequins, heart cut file

Remember to leave comments on the Confetti Crew blogs and on Facebook for chances to twin two $15 Reverse Confetti gift certificates.
