One Groooooovy Gal

I'm loving the new A La Modes line of cling rubber stamps at My Favorite Things. (And did I spy a *new* Christmas one in my jaunt through blogland this morning? Yay!!) This one is Groovy Girl. How about that oversize peace sign she's carrying and the flower garland she's wearing? Cute! I did my coloring with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. All of the designer papers are from Crate Paper's new Restoration line.

Thank you for the sweet comments yesterday about the missing mojo. I love all the support in this papercrafting community! Some of you asked to see pictures of Rocki, our new kitten. I thought you might chuckle over her making a toy out of the ribbon/cord accent on yesterday's card.

Have at it, sweet girl. I didn't like that card anyway! :P

Here's another one that shows more of her. She isn't what I would necessarily call a "pretty" cat, but she won us over with her sweet personality and her willingness to tolerate all of our crazy chaos :) Our family is evenly divided over changing her name to Roxi to make her name more feminine. (Rocki, even with an "i" on the end, still seems like a boy cat's name) What do you think?

So glad you paid a visit today. Hope your day is blessed!

  5. Your groovy girl is adorable! Totally hear ya on the missing mojo, mine just comes and goes and even though it's sooo sweet to have encouragement, sometimes I've just gotta ride it out. I will tell you though, 100% you CANNOT tell, my friend-your cards have been amazing as always, to me :) Um, your kitty is the cutest freakin' thing I've seen all week! Oh, how precious she is, and that pic is hilarious! Enjoy her! She looks so soft!

  9. Fantastic card! Love that vintage feel :-)
    And I've never seen a cat like that, with every "cat" colour on it! But Rocki seems to heavy a name for a kitten, Roxi sounds better :-)

  14. The card is super but the kitten is ADORABLE!!! Look at that sweet little face with the black blaze going down the middle! What a cute helper you have. I am sure she was just "fluffing" that bow as Becca puts it!

  15. As a cat lover, I think ALL cats are adorable, even the ornery older male versions! LOL Roxi, Roxette, Rocki ... whatever you end up naming her, I hope you enjoy her "company" in your craft room - and home - for many happy years to come!

  25. Amy, your card is exquisite (as usual), I love coming to your blog for eye "candy". Your kitty is totally adorable, I absolutely love the markings on her face. We have a female kitty that is 14 named "Scooter" . . . non-gender name I think . . . LOL! We're losing her, she has cancer. She's been a joy to all of us. She was a gift to Stephen at the end of 1st grade for making straight A's the entire year. Now he's a junior in college . . . where did the time go? I wish you and your family many, many years of joy with your Rocki. {{{hugs}}}
