JustRite Week: Day Four

Have you been keeping up with JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream? Before I share today's project, let me post links for Tuesday and yesterday. Take a few minutes to get caught up if you need to.

Tuesday: Cindy, Denise, Michelle, and Tosh

Wednesday: Cammie, Michelle, Silke, Tosh

Also posting today are: Denise, Laurie, and Tosh

Today, I have a card to show using Stitched With Love, a set of six borders and centers for the 2 3/8" circle stamper. I love the artwork in this set - a little bit homespun, but with a current, trendy twist, too. I created the image and sentiment focal point using Spellbinders dies and colored the image with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. I used pink embroidery floss to hand-stitch the "Love" sentiment, adding a button brad for the letter "o." I also went over the needle with a silver Spica to give it a shiny, metallic look.

For the background, I thought it would be fun to create a quilt effect. I punched 1 1/4" squares from various Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday papers, arranged them in a way that I liked, then hand-stitched the squares together using embroidery floss. Some pleated ribbon, crocheted trim, and a scalloped border complete the look.

Be sure to tune in for tomorrow's JustRite Week finale with Cindy, Dawn, and Michelle.

Thanks so much for visiting!
