MFTeaser: Whee!



Welcome to Day Three of this month's MFTeasers. Today, we're showing peeks of the five new Pure Innocence sets that My Favorite Things will be releasing this Wednesday, and they are ADORABLE! The one that I chose to use first, Start Each Day With "Whee!", has the sweetest story behind it. The set was Kim's husband's idea, and it's based on a ritual he shares with their youngest daughter, Emma. In case you didn't catch it over on Kim's blog a few days ago, you can read about it HERE. How sweet is that??

I based my layout on Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #54 from last week. The papers are from the Farm Fresh line by October Afternoon. I sewed around the perimeter of each pattern, then gently curled the scallops to help enhance the cascading ruffle look. Coloring is done with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. I included the sentiment on the inside, along with some floral accents that I trimmed out of one of the Farm Fresh patterns.

    This is absolutely GORGEOUS! I LOVE the beautiful Dp-I have been on the hunt for Farm Fresh and I can't find it anywhere! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way you decorated the inside of it too w/ the cutout flowers. The whole thing is gorgeously embellished-I adore it!

    She is absolutely adorable! Dang- I hate these cute previews I'm already spending my stamp budget for the month!! I love those scalloped layers on the front and the cutout flowers on the inside! BEAUTIFUL!

    Amy, along with your perfect cards, you make the perfect bow! How do you do that? Can you do a demo on bow tying around a card like in this card?

    While there are many great bloggers out there, you are my absolute favorite.

    LOL "trimmed some flowers out" seems SOOO simple sounding yet I have that paper and am NOT really thrilled about attempting that... but WOW What a look it gives!!!!

    Oh my gosh! You didn't hand cut those flowers on the inside? LOL...I know you did and it's amazing! THAT looks fabulous!
    The front of the card is awesome too! Love the different layers of dp with the scalloped edges!
