A Better Place

Wow! In the history of this blog, I don't think I've ever gone two days in a row without posting! I'm here, and I'm well ... just took a little break. I've actually been busy making cards to sell at a local coffee shop (I have 45 now!).

Since I don't have a festive, patriotic card to show you today, I'd like take a moment to wish my American readers a happy and safe Fourth of July holiday! And I'd also like to thank the men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces for their dedication to our country and the freedoms we enjoy.

Do you have a crafting item you hoard? For me, it's chipboard! My storage drawer runneth over! Time to USE it, right? For this card I covered two chipboard flowers with some designer papers from K&Co, then added a line of Stardust Stickles around the petal edges. The centers are adorned with Old Olive buttons, and the flowers sit atop Artichoke grosgrain stems. Sentiment is from Verve's All About You set. I made this card a few weeks ago and absolutely love it in real life, but I'm having an awful time capturing it in a photo. It's so frustrating when that happens.

I'll see you tomorrow for my regular Saturday features: Jen's Sketch for You to Try and the weekly Our Creative Corner challenge (where, psst, we have more fun stuff to announce)!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamps: All About You (Verve Stamps)
Paper: Green Tea, Lagoon, and Espresso card stock (Bazzill); dp (K&Co); Whisper White (SU!)
Ink: Adirondack Espresso (Ranger)
Accessories: Old Olive buttons, Old Olive brads, Artichoke grosgrain, corner rounder, chipboard flower, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch (SU!); Stardust Stickles (Ranger); dark brown twill (Offray); chipboard flower (Maya Road)

Glad to hear you are okay.
Love the card, I do hoard my chipboard. I am not sure how to use it sometimes so I don't.
Thank you for thinking of the service memebers on this holiday. It means a lot to me that there are people that care about what they do.
