I'm On Confetti Camera!

It's Confetti Camera day over on the Reverse Confetti blogConfetti Camera is the weekly segment that features one of the Confetti Crew designers, along with an exclusive, themed project created just for this feature.

Our theme this round is CELEBRATIONS, but with a twist: no birthdays!

Today is my turn, and I've put together a trio of Earth Day gifts. Here's just one of them:

Hope you'll head over to the Reverse Confetti blog for the rest!

Hello There, Friend - SFYTT

Reverse Confetti's March SFYTT Challenge is still on! Join us by linking up your creation before noon CST on the 29th.

Here's the March sketch:

For my focal point, I stamped a sentiment from Big Notes onto a Thanks Tag. For the two square elements, I used the Square Tag die. The patterned papers are all from Pink Paislee's C'est La Vie 6x6 collection.

The pink flags were die-cut with a Stitched Flag Trio die. Just for fun, I added a few small Swirlies. For the three embellishments shown on the sketch, I used some enamel dots.

At the top of the Tag is a Hang Ups die-cut tied off with some black and white baker's twine.

STAMPS: Big Notes

INK: Versafine Onyx Black

PAPER: Neenah Solar White card stock; Pink Paislee C'est La View 6x6 collection

OTHER: black and white baker's twine, foam tape adhesive

Reverse Confetti Spring Fling Blog Hop

Welcome to Reverse Confetti's Spring Fling Blog Hop! We've created some special projects today to inspire all of your springtime crafting. There's also a chance to win a $15 gift certificate. Visit the Reverse Confetti blog for all the details! Enjoy (and good luck)!

I found these small rustic metal letters at Hobby Lobby earlier this week and decided to make a sweet little decor piece for my daughter. (I might need to keep this one for myself, though!)

Gotta love a project that's both quick and cute! I wrapped some natural twine around the "leg" of the letter, then added a stamped butterfly embellishment and a strip of patterned paper around the outside edge.

The butterfly is from Butterfly Dreams and was die-cut with the coordinating Butterfly Dreams  Confetti Cuts die set. I used my Misti to stamp the multiple colors, sponging on ink with an ink dauber and building up color impression by impression.

These are darling little decor pieces, and would make great gifts and/or package toppers. They stand up on their own, or there's a little hanging loop on the back for hanging.

CONFETTI CUTS DIES: Butterfly Dreams

INK: Papertrey Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, and Summer Sunrise

PAPERPapertrey Stamper's Select White card stock

OTHER: natural twine, Hobby Lobby metal letter

A Happy Hello

A happy hello and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today's card is one I made for the Reverse Confetti release last week using some of the all-new products.

In the background is the super cool Double Panel Hearts Confetti Cuts die set. I sponged the back panel in rainbow colors, then layered on the white top panel.

The sentiment, from Whole Lotta Happy, is stamped onto a Flowers for Mom circle die-cut and topped with a layered butterfly that I stamped and die-cut using Butterfly Dreams stamps and Butterfly Dreams Confetti Cuts dies.

INK: Papertrey Pure Poppy, Orange Zest, Harvest Gold, Limeade Ice, Aqua Mist, and Winter Wisteria

New Moments Inked

Papertrey Ink is adding a fantastic sports and fitness stamp set to the Moments Inked line. Active Symbols will be releasing tonight at 10 pm, along with the rest of the March release. With three kids all involved in different sports and activities, I'm already getting a lot of use out of this one!

First, a few ways I'm using these icons and stamps in my planner:

I've stamped both directly onto the planner pages (weightlifting), as well as on sticker paper (volleyball).

I love the little karate guy! My youngest just started a  karate-related activity, too!

The past couple of weeks have been super busy, so the weekly pages are crowded. I wanted to highlight the semi-finals and championship basketball games my younger son played in, so I did that with the basketball icon. The icons are a great way to make something stand out, plus they're cute and colorful, too!

Whenever a new season of sports begins, it take me a while to remember everyone's schedule. To help, I created a laminated card insert (die-cut with the medium Binder Page die) with the days of the week (stamped with Monthly Moments: Tabbed) and then a whole bunch of circle stickers for the icons. The stickers are removable, so I can reposition if anything changes during the season, and I can swap out next season. (The empty ones are placeholders for horseback riding and music. I'm going to use the little horse from Petite Places: Barnyard for the horseback riding, but that set is out on loan at the moment.)

I've got a few more things to add once schedules are set, and then I'll have a nice cheat sheet when doing the weekly planning.

Of course, many of these little icons will work for other projects as well, such as cards:

We have friends whose daughter has had two exciting basketball achievements recently -- passing 1,000 career points for her high school and signing with a college team for next year. I made her a congratulations card using the new Paper Clippings: Congratulations and then just added a few basketballs for "confetti." Blue and gray are the colors of the college she'll be attending.
