Hearts of Thanks

Happy Friday, friends. A quick and easy card to share today. I used some scraps from Bella Boulevard's Finally Fall line and a woodgrain heart and sentiment from Reverse Confetti's FOREVER FALL stamp set.

The polka dot detail under the sentiment is from I LIKE YOU.

Have a great weekend!

October Card Kitchen

Hello friends, my October Card Kitchen kit cards were posted on the Card Kitchen blog last week, and now I thought I'd share them here, too. SUCH a great kit! Y'all know me, and how I love to layer. This kit was filled with goodies. See what I mean?

The upcoming November kit is pretty darn sweet, too, and also jam-packed with goodies. You can see sneak peeks of the November kit on the Card Kitchen blog this week and next. For now, though ... my October cards:

Autumn Blessings

Family Fun

Family

Hello Fall

The Most Beautiful Season

SMILE, Life is Good

Together Is the Best Place to Be

Wonderful You

I focused on the fall-themed papers, but there are a few Halloween things in there, too. And there are these scrumptious, big, funky, fun letter stickers that I only used on one card (Family Fun / Picking Pumpkins). Check out guest designer Sarah Webb's cards HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE, as well as Kimber McGray's cards HERE for more ideas with this kit! I just love what they did!!

Batty For You - DS123

I had plans to stamp this morning, but I specifically said to myself "no Halloween or fall." I was just feeling like something less season-specific. Then, I saw today's Deconstructed Sketch and all that went right out the window. My mind immediately said "subway-style multiple sentiment square panel, ribbon tabs, and tiny bat accents." This one came together super quickly, thanks to Reverse Confetti's SPOOKY SENTIMENTS stamp set and Jen Shults's gem of a sketch.

Here's a closer look at the sentiment panel:

I stamped off two of the "happy halloween" sentiments and colored the "spooky" letters in orange. For a little fun, I turned the two Os into scaredy-cat eyeballs. The background polka dots are stamped in light grey ink using a background stamp from WHOLE LOTTA DOTS. You can't see them here, but the tiny bat accents were done with a stamp from SPOOKY CUTIES.
And here's the lovely sketch:

Stamps: SPOOKY CUTIES, SPOOKY SENTIMENTS, WHOLE LOTTA DOTS Reverse Confetti)

Paper: My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting 6x6 pad, white textured card stock, gray card stock

Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Distress

Here's a close-up of the stamping. Bat and fence are from SPOOKY CUTIES , and the sentiment was done with LIGHTHEARTED LETTERS.

Today & Always

I really thought fall was here to stay, and now temps are headed back into the 90s - wow! I wouldn't complain except that I love fall SO much and am ready for boots and sweaters and scarves and such. Ah well, it will come (and go too soon for my liking). I only bought one specific fall-themed paper pack this year (so far), Echo Park's Reflections - Fall, and have really enjoyed it. Today's card features that collection, plus a turquoise twist, and a sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Forever Fall set.
